Sony just poured and poured money into Blu-Ray and the Cell processor, but they don't have the software support to push units or price to move BD movies.

Improve the online, release some exclusive AAA titles instead of pushing them back indefinitely, then I'll consider getting a PS3. As of right now I am more than satisfied with my 360.

Both MS and Sony make their money back via game sales. Remember back when the PSX was around? Games cost around $40. With the PS2/XBox, games were $50. Now games for the PS3X360 are $60-$70 (yes I have seen $70 PS3 games).

As far as the X360 goes, MS loses a minimum of $126 per console. It was $125 with the XBox. Total losses due to the ongoing hardware problems, undetermined.

Yeah, I figured games had to be what made them their money. And yes, I have noticed games becoming more and more money, I've never personally seen a $70 PS3 game though.

MS suffered at least a billion dollars in losses with the recall, I can't remember the exact numbers at the moment though... a big hit to say the least.

I remember when expensive games were $35 dollars.

I remember some cartridge games being about $80 when I was a kid.
