Ok first question.
I need to download a single movie. I don't mind paying, but I do mind commiting to $2.50 a month for 2 years. An exageration yes, but none the less I don't want to pay longterm membership. I've tried limewire and result bring up a bunch of very odd junk.

Does anyone know of a good site in which I can download quality movies individualy. That or, how to get quality results from limewire.

Second question
You know the small rectangular prism that is in the middle of most chargers/powercords. In this case it is on my laptop powercord. They are known for getting pretty warm, but mine is not at the point of almost burning skin if I leave it for too long. It makes a quiet poping noise when I plug the cord into the box.

What is wrong with it if anything is even wrong.

Well, I can't help you with the second question, but if you want to download individual movies I would suggest Amazon.com's unbox program. There is no fee for joining, you only pay for the TV show or movie you rent. You can either rent or buy and for most movies the highest fee for renting is $3.99 (at least that's the highest I've seen)

Please explain a little more with the second question.
