i was previewing HAzE before it came out. and downloaded the demo. now im looking at the reviews for HAzE and its not looking so good.

i think everyone likes different types of games..

im not gonna tell you it sucks and im not gonna tell you your a fool for not buying it.

I personally jumped straight into multiplayer and had a hell of a good time... maps are really big and all the little bits eg. rebel knife throwing and weapon steals are great fun.

i even went on co-op campaign for bit and found the story pretty interesting made me want to play more.. (tired though now)

for the cons id say the only thing that stands out is some graphics... even though they didnt bother me at all the flamethrower i know is bad but i had fun burning mantel troops/rebels so didnt bother me in the slightest..

if your looking for a fun game to pick up and play with your mates and enjoy a good laugh this is a game for you

if you want a very visual type of entertainment then maybe haze wont be your cup of tea

My answer for this has to be NO since i'm returning my copy tomorrow.

Problem is: i bought it today, and i finished it today as well. i don't think it took me more than 5 or 6 hours to finish the story line, and since the story is the reason i buy most games this was really a big dissapointment. i've taken more than double that amount of hours to finish the story line of GTA4.

If you don't care about story and want to play this online, well i can't help you since i haven't tried it (nor will i) but lots of people on this forum seem to enjoy multiplayer so they'd probably recomend you get Haze.

Personally i think it's a disgrace that they took so long to make this and then didn't even deliver a campain that takes more than 8 hours...

If you want a fun game then YES.

The campain is short, however its a great story, and one which i will be playing again.

Visually the game is poor, but the gameplay is spot on, the only reason i can think for the poor reviews is that the reviewers are still wow'd and blinded after playing Killzone 2 so everything seems bad to them after!

I would reccommend it to you. It's a fun game. Wow, "fun game" is almost an oxymoron now. If you like games that are fun, then get it. The campaign is only a little shorter than COD4 and then you unlock a tougher mode(unlike COD4). I'm almost through Hard and am already looking forward to playing through on the hardest setting.

Only get it if ur gonna play it online, online is gd. I wanted to dig into my m8 saying it's **** but its gd, not as gd as cod4 but still gd. Story mode is ok i guess i would give it 5/10 online 9/10

You do know that the average shooter clocks in at 6-10 hours.

Well seeing as everyone likes to compare to cod4.. i gotta agree with the bear...

it took me 6 hours to complete cod4 on veteran.. and also took same time for a mate whos a lot worse than me..

Save your money. As much as id love to have more people to play online with, my conscience would tear me up if i recommended this game.

Hey mate he isn't trolling, to be honest your the troll here. He was merely stating the facts. While it may be fun for you, the massive glitches (such as the map terrain falling away sometimes and texture tears along with **** graphics for a next gen game and repetitive voice acting) make it a game not really worth getting unless you're a die hard Haze fan (aka you). Hence the fact he didn't recommend it.
Though seriously what we don't need are people like you, at least give an actual argument based on facts and technical info because "I love it and if you don't well sucks to joo!" isn't a good way of recommending a game.

Do you see the **** this guy posts, well DO YOU? He gives no basis to his arguments either, I admit Haze has problems, I have before, but I keep saying that my copy has worked fine, maybe you got a bunk copy, maybe you treat your stuff like ****, I don't really know nor do I feel like digging into your life's story.

I know Haze has some glitches, but you two blow it out of porportion making it seem like the game is unplayable, if you don't want to play it fine. But for the love of god don't go posting in every thread after yours that it 'SUXXORS' like Sub0of.

In short, shove off you small minded prick.

Like I always say, TEST THE DEMO. You get your answers from there. But trust me, don't go into bad details in it, rather look at the cool details like if a grenade goes off nearby other grenades, everyone explodes. Or how the troopers armor lights from yellow to very bright yellow when they dose up or red when they overdose. The game got so much details you don't notice if you don't look into them which most other games don't have. Look at the inside, not the outside like graphics in this game, if you do then you're totally of track and should be playing some other game, COD, Resistance or some other game with nice graphics.

Anyway I can admit the campaign was so so, but multiplayer is 10/10. First game I enjoy playing against other players, otherwise I've been fighting against AI/bots since lots of games are just shoot and kill. Even if you are just doing it as a Mantel trooper you got Nectar, and the way that you can overdose. Which aint irritating but more of fun. I rather be killed while overdosed then being killed when I'm not.

But I'd did say.. if you want something new, I mean get away from the modern or too unrealistic FPS then buy it. It's something new and you either hate it or love it.

You sir need a dose of reality, either a vast majority of players were sent a "bunk" copy or you're just blind to the technical problems that Haze encounters. Further more just because you cannot back up your absolute fanboyism with facts does not and I repeat does not instantly mean you can start throwing around personal insults, especially swearing.
Seriously, stop acting like a crazed 12 year old and grow up, this is the real world and maybe you should join it sometime.

Any who apart from my rant I’ve found Haze to be an enjoyable campaign at times but I’ve found it quite lacking in gfx, which is a bit sad considering i bought a 26" inch HD LCD screen to play next my gen games on. While the multiplayer is fun I’ve found most of the maps to be sniper prone and weapon pickups are just a tad to easy to come by. A weapon system like COD4 would be preferred in my opinion however that does also have it's own limitations. All round i've found it quite fun but also quite disappointing so on that note I personally wouldn't recommend it. I hope this helps .
