i know its possible that these videos are not gold and stuff, but it sttill really bothers me because we have seen what next gen systems can do, and haze doesnt even look anything compared to what these systems can do. To me they look like ps2's highest. But i also have seen the actual game, but it looks nothing like the multiplayer, which looks bad........

No offense HazyNector, but comparing Haze to a PS2 game, (or worse, like someone else said on the forum on a par with the N64!), is really not at all fair or reasonable. What about things like, oh, higher resolutions, dynamic lighting, HDR lighting, draw distance, particle and volumetric effects, detailed models, etc...

And if you've seen the actual game and it didn't look like the videos you've seen, it's probably safe to say that the videos aren't that good isn't it? I've seen real HD res videos that are far better than Gametrailers efforts, so I wouldn't form much of a conclusion based on those if I were you.

Agree

HazyNector, I would say if you have any of the Timesplitters games, go fire one up today. Then watch some Haze vids again and see what you think. Haze is a significant improvement, IMO.

It's funny how MANY videos people view on gametrailers, and yet they still fail to notice that the res on that page sucks. But complain about the graphics even on the comments section lol.

i agree lol with silentkiller14, also from what legacy and deded said, i have to say who cares. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion, 1st amendment! (i dnt want to get into anything though...). I never played a timesplitter game or w/e, but i dont think that matters. That was in the past and this is in the now. I understand your views, but i just am a person who bought their ps3 for AWESOME graphics and good game play, and have has a little of both....

Haze still got decent graphic to be able to be played IMO. And the gameplay is far better than any other game I've seen so far that suits me. Like someone said somewhere on the forum "If you've played Timesplitter than you know that you shouldn't expect much of graphic but of gameplay of Haze.". Thumbs Up

I guess everyone knowns that gametrailers is bias? right?

Just some information, i know its not haze but just to prove the point:

In gametrailers' recent comparison of GRID, a new racing game for the 360 and PS3, they claim the 360 version of the game does much better handling crash physics. The problem is the image they used has a triangle, R1, and R2 button explaining the control scheme in the left hand corner.

So Gametrailers are using PS3 videos to better the 360 and actually saying it is the 360 version, this isnt the first time GT has been caught out being biased towards the 360, now how can they get out of this one???

The link to email admin on GT has been deactivated and every post on the GT forums about it has been deleted by admin, normally threads are locked but these are being deleted completely, also look in the Wii section it shows the editor saying ´the PS3 is junk´.

So gametrailers, sucks.

Whether or not they're biased, and yes I was aware of the GRID debacle...the fact is, the gametrailers posted on that site, are typically sub-standard in quality. Slightly akin to testing your 1080p TV's quality via Youtube clips. Although, that's also a big complaint about many trailer hosting sites. They give up video quality, for capacity. So, I usually take what I see from those sites with a grain of salt.

And as for a games editor who likes the Wii and calls the PS3 junk...well...at least he's sticking with an architecture that's more his speed. No offense to Wii owners...but it's like comparing a PC Junior to a Cray. It requires more skill in coding, more time in developement and more thinking outside the box.

Visual effects are pretty cool, the main problems are all about textures.

Which is definitely strange, as if you look at the GPU in the PS3, it _should_ excel at textures. I believe Sony/Nvidia actually pushed for more texture handling, while giving up FSAA.

A lot of people on these fourms are complaining about graphics and then there are people that are saying that is the way free radical makes their games. The game is awesome and i personally give it a 8/10, but i still wish the graphics were up to par with current standards.

Also why did it take so long to finish if they were just going to keep all the glitches in there?
