I am trying to play co-op with my friend but everytime we try to enter each others games, it says patch is required to continue.

Whats wrong?
I look at the menu screen and it says nothing about a patch. And yes I am updated as far as I can go

It's like you cant invite any of your friends.
Which was the main reason I wanted the game

yeah same problem, also couldnt even join the same game with my friend, we were looking at two different server lists, any and all answers welcome

Damn I hope they fix it by friday..that's when we Canadians can finally pick it up. Patch it up .. I hope they don't ditch like they did with the first rainbow 6 vegas..that was disappointing.

is this only for the co-op? or for the multiplayer also. because my multiplayer works fine

Me too noones name shows on my buddy invits section and when they snd me invites i aparently need apatch, Also when creating game certain areas such as the bots option are greyed out even in the right game type ie bots is greyed out in DM and TDM YET IT SAYS ONLY AVAILABLE IN DEATHMATCH MODES ----------MMC'MON UBISOFT & FREE RADICAL YOU DELAYED IT THIS LONG WHATS THA DEAL?............................. YEA PRAISE CANADA PROUD TO BE A CANUCK

"Requires latest patch" needs to go away........ and now.

A few questions for you though: Does the game give an error code or just simply ask for a patch? Also, have you made sure that both you and your friend have the most recent firmware?

This is unbelievable...

I am getting the same issue trying to play with a couple of buddies.
The install went smooth, there were no error's at all.
Both of us have tried to host a co-op game and get the same message that the latest patch is required.

FOR NOW ON I AM GOING TO RENT GAMES FIRST BEFORE BUYING THEM!!!!!!!!! Every one else should do the same. Maybe that will smartn these game companies up to have a better QA departement, when there not making all there targeted money on the first day.

Just because you had a problem doesnt mean that the whole world needs to start renting games and not buying.. coz then the whole games market would crash and companies wouldnt be able to make games.

Oddly it works really well for me, even better than with some other games like call of duty4.
Even my friend can join my co-op who usualy can't (some odd problem with psn dunno why? (Yes we both have Nat1))

i think people should be angry about this. yet again, a game is released with broken multiplayer. theres no error code, it just says "latest patch required". its not about firmware, as you wouldnt be able to sign in if you didnt have the latest firmware. als, wheres the frigging party system? seriously, where the hell is it?

unlike most of the people here, i get angry when my brand new game feels like it was slapped together. this forum went from meaningful discussion to people in denial crying and making excuses in a quick minute.

Thankyou kazoo for promising to pass the info on, there is no error code just a message stating that you need the latest patch to join this game, also some of us do not have our friends online in the game populating when wanting to send invites. It simply shows no names, not to mention that i see no online stats tracked although i have played a few times online. The online game play is smooth and very nice but the lobby system feels awkward and slugish ,also the matter about creating games at this time. Access to bots is greyed out and even with deathmatch type games as is stated are still unaccessable .

these are present issues you need to address ASAP as you can tell the gaming comunity is upset at half finished games and after such a long delay and amazing game potential it is upsetting and damaging to peoples expectations of a game delayed this far after its release date. Plus the issues with ubisofts reputation being smeared by previouse issues in Rainbow six vegas 1&2 online servers. I hope these issues get resolved its a great game but a patch is needed now for the previously listed issues .


please if anyone else discovers any more points of focus list them do not cry and yelll. The devopment team I am sure are at work to help not victimize us. be constructive with criticisms do not be abusive.

the bots issue resolved bots are only usable in custom matches my apologies for being blind and missing that but all other issues are still unaccessable

they had some problems but it never fails when a new game is released. GTA4 for example. Everyone played that game solidly for a week or so then BAM right back to COD4. Activision has got their **** together! UBISOFT NEEDS TO FOLLOW SUIT!!!!!!
