I have a big question about the online stat tracking....
Why do the online stats start over every time you play... why don't the stats stay and accumulate?
This is my only real question/concern about a FANTASTIC online multiplayer experience... It's the only thing keeping your stats tracking system from being, hands down, the best I've ever seen... you track more different stats than any other 10 shooters put together, and the way each stat has it's own leaderboard is phenomenal.... only...
Why do they reset every time? Was that intentional, a sort of "What have you done for me lately" type of stats tracking? If so, maybe an update patch could come to change this to make the stats tracking persistent?

It would make the stats tracking system the best on any console shooter hands down.... with the way it is now, it's just a "oh, what could have been..." scenario.

Anyway, if one of you devs could maybe address that, I'd appreciate it...

BTW, WHAT A FREAKIN' GAME! I never played timesplitters so I didn't really know your pedigree and just had to go by people telling me you were a great developer.... Kudos boys, Kudos....
...Word of mouth will sell this game!

Sorry, I haven't played it in MP yet, and I'm not one of the developers either. You should have an answer soon though.

Ok, seriously, THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE YOU HAVE to convince some of us this game is worth buying.

MORE THAT 20 PEOPLE IN this discussion have asked about split-screen. You have yet to answer those questions in full, and THE GAME IS ALREADY ON THE SHELVES!!!

Come on!!

1) How, in detail (maybe some screenshots you posted of barely-legible maps could have been better used to show split-screen?) does the multi-player split-screen appear and how many players can play on ONE TV/PS3 at the same time? If 4 player co-op is NOT possible, will it be a future "update"?

2) Definatively, once-and-for-all, does the game have horizontal split-screen, and if NOT, why? Every other FPS w/multiplayer has this option (except UT3 of course, and it has mamed the game horribly). Please tell me you didn't do this because you intend to bring a superior version out on Xbox (hmm..again..like UT3..you're not taking tips from Epic r u?). Again, if split-screen adjustment between horizontal or vertical is NOT an option, will it be in a future update?

Avoiding this questions is just making us less and less likely to make a purchase. If the answer is weak, and least we have an answer.

Ummm... how on earth is the 360 version of UT3 superior? No mod support and a lack of kb/m support makes it inferior. Yeah, they added splitscreen, but they got rid of what made Unreal so... unreal. Both versions are gimped, if you ask me.

As far as I know, 2 players per PS3/TV in either co-op or multiplayer and only vertical splitscreen.

I would like to ask the devs if there is an incoming fix for these numerous multiplayer connection issues

question: Development team, when can we expect a PC version of Haze?

Seeing as my PC runs 1200p on my dell 24" or if I so choose 1080p on my 60" sony sxrd and has also stepped into the future 20+ odd years ago with keyboard/mouse support.

the multiplayer problems are caused by people not having the right ports opened on their routers, I myself don't have to worry about this because my router had all of the ports used for online gaming preopened when I bought it.

only that one problem is caused be peoples routers, and that problem is easily fixed (though still an unnecessary inconvenience). the real multiplayer problems are the split servers, and the inexcusably frequent freezes. its bad enough that i need a non-existent patch to play with my friends, but im freezing at least once or twice an hour. just before i got on here, i had 2 matches in a row freeze, though that was the first time it happened. its getting to the point where i play 2 or 3 matches, freeze, and just give up.

its hard to get into a social game when it feels like the game is doing all it can to ensure that not only cant i play with friends, but strangers either. its gaot a fun multiplayer, but its an absolute mess on the technical end

What's with the map issue coming out of the hold in Chapter 9? Every time I step through the door, I fall through the geometry. How did it get through a playtest in this condition?

I can understand little bugs, and even a few big ones, but how was this not a showstopper, and when do you plan on fixing it?

Ask The DEVS PLZ REPLY

will there be downloads for haze because on the back of the case it says free download content if so can you tell us what that is going to be.

will you be doing something like what resistance has where you can link your ps3 and get your stats.

When i play haze it won't let me play online, it comes up with a message something along the line of "your ps3 system can't connect to playstation network, please check your connection and try again", i check my connection and its fine, call of duty 4 works fine online. this has happened to a number of other people, i've seen it on forums, is Ubi or Free Radical looking onto this, has there been an official announcement made about it or has someone worked out how to fix it, i've tried changing my router ports to the one specified in the book, but it doesn't work.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it:

THIS GAME SUCKS.

Sorry, but your complete avoidance of particular issues that are important to the players (like every question that's been asked since the game actually hit the shelves) is enough for me to boycott UBI games altogether.

This is ****. Thank you for a mediocre failure of a game. I hope you didn't pay the devs much for their 2 years of work, because you should get a refund.

If you act quickly, you might be able to reap it back by melting down all of the wasted plastic put into pressing this game in the first place and resell it as something usefull.

A few more questions after I completed the game.

In terms of voice acting script, considering there is almost 50 gigs of space on a single Blu Ray disc why do Mantel troops and Rebel Troops yell out the same five lines every 3 seconds? I cannot tell you how many times I have heard "Remember your promise to Merino", or "My mother would be so goddamned proud of me now" consecutively. Honestly did none of you developers take note of what Sierra did with the Scarface game? There are hundreds of phrases and lines in that game, so much so that I reckon you'll rarely have the same conversation twice (I know I hardly ever did).

Furthermore, what the hell were you thinking by not improving the physics engine? Seeing a Mantel or Rebel trooper go into a death animation as he is floating in the air and then suddenly drop to the ground because he has finally expired is painful. Also seeing limbs and guns clipping through walls and the ground is just shoddy developing.

Storyline wise when your off Nectar Shane is supposed to see the true horrors of war. In reality the blood effects in this game is equivalent too Microsoft Paint effects. Bravo Free Radical Design! In addition, Mantel bodies disappear anyways. Your telling me a PS3 game like Resistance (which has substantially better visuals than Haze) can animate every single corpse on the battlefield but Haze cannot keep a body count over 5? So much for David Doack's vision of realism. I mean for Christ's sakes aren't you the dudes that boast about making Goldeneye? You can see individual bullet wounds on enemies in that game, while in Haze your given a pathetic blood effect with zero splatter (what makes this even more laughable is the fact that there is pre-placed blood splatter in certain parts of the game).

The voice acting.... Oh my God. Yes, yes, we get it. You wanted Haze to be a metaphor. You wanted to make a statement about the typical frat boy, jacked up marine stereotypes found in Halo, Gears of War, and God knows every other 'serious' FPS. Unfortunately what you dense gentlemen didn't realize is that most gamers are casual and they will take the voice acting literally. Kudos on another bit of great judgement.

Finally, the final level, your on a huge piece of moving machinery yet the Marine buggy still leaves dirt mark like its driving on muddy terrain. It may not be a big deal, but it stands out, and it demonstrates how little you cared about getting this game into shape in the six months you delayed it. That is pure unabashed negligence on your parts. The fact that such a stupid glitch is in the game proves that once and for all that you've lost your touch. You've merely become another soulless developer pawn in the UbiSoft portfolio, but god knows if they will retain you after such a disastrous failure.

From:-Kotaku Questions Haze Developer

How is it to develop on PS3? What can you do with this console that you couldn't do with previous-gen consoles?

It's great. Working on PS3 has allowed us to create vastly superior environments that verge on photorealism – full-screen effects, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and obscenely complex shaders. Its more challenging than ever before, but the power is greater than anything else that's out there.

For that alone I hope FRD goes bankrupt. What a lie.

What is going on with the online coop problems? Is there a timeline for a fix? It seems to definitely be influenced by the D-link Extreme N wireless router..

And it is not a matter of simply opening ports... I have tried specific ones mentioned and all of them at once, updated firmware etc.

This is such a shame, I was really looking forward to co-op for this game.
