then why is it that the Wii has sold like a gazillion units if graphics are the be all end all in whether a game is good. Why is it that super smash brothers gets grteat marks for graphics when it's a 90's caliber game ( and don't say because of revolutionary controls, because almost every person plays that with the retro controller).

How can Zelda get a 10, if graphics are soo important... how can all the Wii games ever review get higher graphical scores than Haze did. Why is the occassional cutscene glitch so horrible in this game when Gears of War had a ton a cutscene glitches everywhere and no one cared and Gears had loading screens everywhere... the cutscene delays are a product of having no loading screens at all... which if you ask me, a one split second fade to black in the middle of a cutscene is much better and keeps me in the game's mindset much much more than a minute long loading screen with a bar filling up where I get a chance to forget all the tension that might have been built up.
... And I am NOT trash-talking Gears... it's one of my favorite games ever, neck and neck with Metal Gerar Solid for PS1, which blazed all the trails for what a game could and should be... just using it to make a point.

And I don't even think that the graphics are bad. The only texture that looks crappy is the deck of the land carrier, in my opinion. And the jungle scape doesn't come close to that of uncharted, but it's better than alot of videogame jungles.

But the point is, if graphics determined ALL, Nintendo wouldn't be blowing their nose with money right now... The Wii outsells them all.
And quite frankly, when I'm shaking my controller to shake fire in Resistance or Haze or swinging it like a bowling ball in High Velocity Bowling, I feel like the PS3 has the same gameplay gimmick at their disposal whenever they want to use it.

Uhhh except that PS3 acutally has the potential to have good graphics, so we SHOULD expect more. Stop trying to make excuses for the devs. They ****ed up. And if they at least fix the multiplayer, I wouldnt care about graphics. But since everything seems to be messed up in this game, Im gonna keep *****ing.

i have to agree with you the graphics arnt that bad and the gameplay is better than most fps. and yes the load times are good even games with loadtimes have a black out before the cutscene and then ther have to load the next level.

lol @ you. you attack eskimo for telling the truth? if your car can do 200mph, but is limited to 55, would you then say that speed doesnt matter? graphics dont matter as long as the rest of the game works nicely, and haze does not.. you cant blame people who get mad when theyre promised chicken soup, and given chicken s**t. we were told the grapics would be awesome when that just isnt the case. maybe graphics dont matter, but lying about them does

You just won't let it go, will you? It's a visual medium, and the game is on PS3. Not only that, but it's been promoted as a game exclusive to the PS3, so you'd think the game would look quite good. Which it really doesn't. "Good graphics" should, at this point, be expected. You don't even have to compare it to the best of the best to come away feeling disappointed in the visual presentation here. It's not a Wii game, it's not running on a budget priced system. There's no excuse for it to look the way it does and have all the graphics issues that it allegedly has.

Get the **** over it.

I guess the main issue here is that not only does it not look that great, but the gameplay itself is pretty meh. Which is something that can't, with a straight face, be said about Crysis. I'm assuming you haven't played it.

There is a reason why the Wii has sold so well. There is also another reason why ONLY THE WII is selling and games arent. People have shown that most people who own the wii only have the Wii and 1 game. Games on the Wii in general are NOT SELLING..

The Wii is $150
Xbox 360 is 479.00
PS3 is 499.99 or 399.99 blah blah

So the bottom line is Wii for people who arent gamers at all. Most of them are drunks who get loaded and throw things at the TV late at night when 20 of there friends are over and loaded. Who cares if the graphics look like **** on the wii, its 150.00.. The system really has not improved since the NES 8-bit system came out 20+ years ago compared to the wii graphics. 480I or 480P most people dont care. You are lucky if the people who own a Wii even know what 480 anything is.

Bottom line, the Wii is cheap and the only reason its selling systems.. But selling a system doesnt mean it wont die after all the game companies stop making games for the system because they dont sell..

And YES I KNOW all the nintendo games like smash brothers and link sell. Thats because they dont release the full developement kit to 3rd parties thus the games are ****.

You jst contradicted yourself you said would you say speed doesnt matter etc. but then you say if the gameplay was good the graphics wouldn't matter, what?

I totally agree though the devs should of made full use of the console but please read what you write.

i didnt contradict myself at all. if your car is advertised as capable of 200, but isnt, it matters. if its advertised as capable of 55, and thats exactly the case, then it doesnt matter. what im saying is that graphics matter when its used as a selling point, and ends up being of poor quality. if they had said that it wasnt going to be particularly pretty from the beginning, then there wouldnt be a problem. do graphics matter much? no, but if youre promised one thing and given another, then it matters because you were led to believe something that wasnt true.

in the end though, im sure the graphical issues couldve been fixed if FRD had actually finished it before it was released

hey, haze is great, awesome graphics, great gameplay, its fun as hell. the best of all, its out, right now. go get it and enjoy the ride.

First of all, you can't have two bottom lines.

Second: if you are a gamer you would not choose 360/ps3/wii, you would buy them all, because you are a gamer.

Third: people don't buy a console just because it's the cheaper one. it still costs quite a bit of money so i doubt more than 1 in 100 is gonna buy it without researching what they're geting for it in comparison to the more expensive systems. And i for one would recomend a Wii to most people.

PS3 games are all expected to have good graphics because of its power. It is normal for Wii to have terrible graphics because it doesn't have any power or any good graphic expectations. Wii games win with their gameplay. I think Haze has a great gameplay with nectar, playing dead etc. And I think the best example for that the graphics are not that important is Resistance Fall Of Man. Resistance hasn't got any good graphics but it has sold like 2 millions. Haze hase the opportunity too.
