Hello guys.

You know how if you stand next to the troopers atop the Mantel Landcarrier in your first and second visits to the carrier while in the Mantel side, they start talking about stuff? Things like how they start talking about Apocalypse Tomorrow, a dude that tells you "What, you gonna stare at me like you want a piece of my ***?" And the dude that, if you approach the fire, keeps telling you stuff like "You want a melted face, Sarge?" "Christ, you are one dumb son of a bitch! Fine, if you want to burn yourself alive, go on!" and stuff like that.

These are events that are non necessarily triggered, are there for no reason, and do nothing, but they're interesting and funny to listen to.

There are simmilar situations in the Cidade de Deus, where you can save unarmed people's asses, trigger a small dialogue, and then they run to safety. Still, if you ignore them, nothing happens.

Also, there are weapon stashes hidden all throughout the game that, if one were to just beat the game in a linear way, would never find.

For instance, there are chainguns, rocket launchers, lobos, osos and pinpointers hidden in buildings all across Cidade de Deus, there's some knives, a shotgun and a sniper in the Palmas Sudorosas lobby, and more knives and a shotgun hidden in some of the rooms that one would normally not access, as there are no enemies or indications inside. The doors are simply there, open.

The point of this post is for you to share all the information you have about "hidden" bits of the game, be it weapons, dialogues or just plain interesting stuff (or perhaps something outright amazing that Free Rad put in the game and we all missed? Developers with as much charm as Free Radical like to stuff their games with easter eggs! Why is haze so lacking in this aspect?!).

Hello again, chaps and chapettes.

I went ahead and asked Rob Yescombe about Easter Eggs. It was really sad to hear that due to being too wrapped up into making the main game work, most of the Easter Eggs planned to make it into the game didn't make it in the end.

He, however, off the top of his head, has told me that a lot of wacky stuff can be heard in the Mantel Radio Station sound clip that plays just before the Caridad Quarry level, in your second visit to the Mantel Landcarrier, still as a Mantel Trooper. According to him, there should be about 30 minutes of wacky dialogue stuffed into that sound clip!

I am off to check what goodies free radical left us in that Mantel Radio thing. Oh, and maybe he can tell us what kind of juicy stuff they had planned for us that they didn't put in the game in the end, as I asked him about it.

It's good to see what kind of good-hearted, fun to talk to (and probably be around of) people Free Radical was and Crytek UK is made of. People kind enough to put up with annoying, rabid fanboys like us and even answer our questions! Props to him and the whole Free Rad crew.
