The Lyric "It was all done in vain" in the Korn song will haunt me for awhile.

I wanted to make a mash-up for the contest, I talked myself out of it because I didn't have any digital video editing software experience, but it bothered me that I didn't at least try.

So during the last few days I downloaded a free video editing program, and after that I did what I could with what I had or didn't have. I never used a digital video editing program in my life, and it was a little confusing at first, so I stayed up the first three days I had it and beat myself to a pulp to get the basics down enough to be competent, so being hocked-up on tea, chocolate, and pretzels I stayed up and started and finished the project.

Last night (this night?) I uploaded the video to youtube (not officially for a contest entry, but for a video to check the speed/quality):

and decided to take a nap, read the rules again with a fresh mind, then post. Luckily I have two alarm clocks, and if I place both of them next to my head, I usually wake up when I stay-up like this. Amyways, for the second time I was reading the rules, and from what I understand, if I submit this as my entry, I would be disqualified because although my entry has videos from UBI/Free Radical, they weren't the ones in the video pack. I don't have a video camera, or editing software... to be honest, I can't afford it, so between what I didn't have and what I didn't know, I tried to use what I could find online and submit... I never even thought with my groggy mind to think of why certain videos were in a video pack versus snagging it from GAMETRAILERS (duh).

Needless to say I am a little crushed and disappointed at myself for not reading the rules thoroughly the first time; although I thought did. Funny... it made perfect sense the first time at four in the morning when I didn't get any sleep for two days. (laughs... then moans)

I think I know enough of the program to do another one, but between my already frazzled mind and my waining chocolate supply I fear that I will not have enough time to do another one. short of a miracle jar of no-doze dropping from heaven.

Anyways, If I can't get it together, I'll just submit it, and take the beating I deserve...
