true in every sense. reviews are not just opinions. in fact, the only opinionated part of most reviews is the score. case in point: haze reviews were largely the same, the only real difference being that some gave it a 7 and some gave it a 4. people used the better reviews to defend haze, not realizing that they pointed out all the exact same problems as the bad reviews, the only real difference being the end score. sadly though, people seem to think the score is more important, when its the least important part by far. then again, why read and actually form a conclusion on your own, when a score will be all the conclusion you need.
saying that no one is forcing you to buy is a cop out. if youre brand new ford doesnt run, and your friends told you not to buy one, does that get ford off the hook? hell no. its not the consumers fault for buying a sh** product when that product was heavily marketed to him. ubi isnt going to say "hey guys, rent it first. it might not be that good". theyre going to advertise your face in until you buy their product. like any company, they hyped and advertised a half finished product. they dont care whether you get money's worth as long as you buy it.
we cant have it both ways. 2 weeks ago, everyone was saying "ignore the reviews, they mean nothing", and now that people are ****ed off people are sayin "what were you expecting? didnt you see the reviews?" its mind blowing
Amen. The topic of this thread is proof FRD goofed, as it is true. (You are not crazy

)
FRD produced a game from scratch, and goofed on many, many aspects surrounding it. It's un-deniable.
Fanboys, please keep quiet. This forum was put into place for the long-awaited release. It now needs to be partly used for corrections in the game, that are much needed. If you see an 'opinion' or 'comment' you don't particularly agree with, why even reply? How about growing up? even maturing, and ignoring the things you dislike and focus on possibly discussing issues rather than, issuing personal attacks?
I waited for HAZE for over two years, had it pre-ordered for the same length of time, as many others. I had even changed my main PSN account to 'haze-addict' and made it UK in wait for the demo (which wasn't even confirmed for many years later). I was as much into HAZE as anyone else, may be even more so.
The difference is, I, as many others, are not in denial and can admit that the long awaited release was possibly a huge waste of time. It's not the end of the world if someone else has the common sense to bring up issues with the game in order to receive possible rectification.
Also, if being able to express oneself using an extensive vocabulary isn't being educated, even just verbally, what are my tax dollars paying for? Why are our children going to school? Baby-sitting..?
Yes, some in-adequate or even 'un-educated' people may seek the use of a thesaurus but who really cares? If it helps them to express their oponion in a way that people will understand clearly and directly, shouldn't it be encouraged?
Cheers!
