when ever im playing splitscreen multiplayer with a friend my name is always User 1 and his is always User 1(2) how do i change this its rly annoying

are you talking about your full name "User 1"?

or are you talking about the "1(2)" thing?

Did you register with playstation network? (its free 2 register)
I think its saying user 1 and 2 because you didn't register with playstation network are you didn't go online with the game.
One more thing when I first used the game I didn't register with playstation network and it said the same thing. (user 1&2)

In other words, sign up to playstation network. that should work.
