I think it really comes down to the fact that
A: this is an awesome game and I think many people (PS3 amd 360) want to play it. When I first saw this game last year I knew it would be mine...until it became a PS3 exclusive. I've got nothing but love for the PS3 and to be honest if it was a "little" cheaper I'd trade my PS2 in for one. But right now that's not an option. I just would like to hear someday...that Haze will be ported over to the 360. Until then PS3 owners enjoy!!! |

Take solace Arabus, any version that hits the 360 would NOT be a port, but a ground up build for the 360.

From what I've seen PS3 Lost Planet is a particularly poor port and quite frankly I don't know why Capcom bothered - if they had produced a decent piece of work then it might have attracted a reasonable number of PS3 owners to buy it, but producing such a shoddy third-rate port does nothing but cost them money and sully their reputation to my mind.
Free Radical obviously care a lot more about their reputation and I don't believe they would produce a shoddy port for the 360 or any other system - three times they managed to put titles on three systems at the same time and all three were fine versions, so there should be no worries there. @ Arabus07 - I'm sorry that at present you won't be able to play Haze, (keep your fingers crossed), but congratulations on having a more magnanimous attitude than some other people we could mention...

I don't have a problem at all with Haze not being exclusive. Not one. But what bothers me at times is people trying to troll others saying blank game will come for blank console. For instance, Metal Gear Solid 4. Rumors debunked, denied, and yet people still insist a 360 version will come out. Clearly this isn't common sense, but speculation and a bit of instigating.
I hope my previous posts haven't shown the wrong side of me. I like all consoles. In fact, I wish people could just pick the console they're comfortable with and play games and that's it. It's just that I have a pet peeve for false info that's all.. If Haze is confirmed for 360... Hurray.
Why? Developers are starting their projects on PS3 and then porting to 360, it is easier to port that way. I don't see any need to build it from the ground up if the game is already made. I'd agree with you if Haze was just starting out. |

I believe that Free Radical have never actually commented on the 360 and PC versions, let alone saying they were cancelled. They seem to have just stated that Haze is exclusive to the PS3 and discussed the reasons for it being on that system now. That's not the same thing.
They may have said more, but looking at the statements of other companies who refer to a title as being exclusive, companies can say anything they like about how a title's never coming to another system - until they announce it's coming to other systems. I've said it before: any game is only exclusive until it's announced for other systems. |

It would be pretty foolish of any company to just throw away developement work on anything. And since Haze has been in the works for awhile, the 'canceling' as you say, that occurred in late '07, would mean they could very well have a great head start on both the PC and 360 versions. Also, keep in mind, there's a working PC demo as well.

HAZE on 360 ... never - Umm this thread is pretty much dead now. Sry for you 360 only owners. But PS3 needed this, 360's taken enough from us as it is.

I find PS3s online better.
Free + Dedicated servers > Peer to peer + subscription fees PS3 gets better performance in game 360 has a few extra features that PS3 is getting anyway. And it's en exclusive not cause of Ubisoft, but because of the relationship FRD has with Sony. I'm glad it's an exclusive. 1) PS3 doesn't have many FPSs yet, Haze weon't get buried in competition like it would on 360 2) Being exclusive lets FRD optimize more for PS3
Yes it is. IBM, the maker of the processors used in both systems even says so.
I can post the specs for you, 360s GPU has not a single spec better than PS3s. And PS3s is meant to be augmented by Cell.
That's not how programming works, it'd be a port. Otherwise you won't be seeing the game for 360 for another 2 years. |

Not sure where you got your specs from mate, but you can go ahead and post them, I'll post mine and we can all compare and cry.
Fact is, Xbox has a better graphics card. As for online play? Tell me, how do you communicate on PS3 live? You can't really, not during games and not really after games. Xbox has got... Headset support in every game and outside of games, chatpads, the ability to message people while in a game (Amazing) and so forth so forth. PS3? None, that's why it's free. Dedicated servers? lol, from Russia with love, Mate. They're slow, clumsy and they don't seperate dial up from broadband - anything goes. Gotta love matchmaking features of xbox live! Last but not least, I'll rest my case by pointing out Assassins Creed, PS3s OTHER exlucsive. I still think Haze might show up on the Xbox... and you know what's the best bit of it all? If it doesn't... I can always buy myself a PS3. Why? because the fact that I own an Xbox doesn't prevent me from getting a PS3. Ugh... Now that might seem a bit hostile towards PS3, rest assured I still don't hate it and Killzone still has a soft spot in my heart  I'm just slightly annoyed at the amount of nonesense thrown in the Xbox direction just because people want to justify their purchase...Grow up, anyone can get an Xbox or a PS3. |

It's NOT a thread for console bashing, (or even console comparison, which as often as not is flame-bait), whatever your preferences or information. That is actually, how programming works when developement starts on all 3 platforms at the same time, that's how Haze started. It was only like late 2007 when FRD/Ubi said they'd stopped working on any other versions but the PS3 one. |
