Two times in the last 72 hours I've played a game on the MML, in Team Assault, as a rebel where the same thing has happened:

1. MML is in front of rebel base, ready to be launched.

2. A sniper snipes rebels as rebels are setting the charge.

3. This continues for 30+ minutes. (On the second of the two occasions it happened for 45 minutes straight).

4. It was the same sniper the entire time.

5. The sniper was incessant and unswerving. He shot every rebel who tried to set the charge.

6. The sniper never seemed to run out of bullets, and never seemed to not be in his position.

7. The sniper could not be found, and I spent 40 minutes looking for him.

8. The sniper had a shot at both driving seat and charger panel when MML was in a horizontal position across in front of the rebel base, with the charger side of MML protected (ie charger side closest to base).

Is there a bug?

Or is there the world's best hiding place up on the hill or mountain behind rebel base, with a supply of bullets available for a sniper to enjoy 45 minutes of unending mirth?

* Sniper had 161 merits at the end of the game from the number of kills he pulled off.

i once saw two high up on the mountains dont know how they got there have tried looking meself on mml if some1 knows pls share info

They use the mountains & the reason they never run out of ammo is the Mantel soldiers regenerate ammo by switching weapons..Also theres a glitch behind the rock in the left hand corner beside the rebel base..Hope that helps..

You don't wanna get up there,you'll never get better that way..You get the Mantel humvee go behind the big rocks up the hill near the trees & drive up it you'll have to find the path.I've only been up there a couple times its really boring up there..

@ SlayAR80: Regarding "glitch" in "Left hand corner beside rebel base" do you mean "left" as you look at rebel base?

When you say "behind the big rocks up the hill near the trees" are you referring to big rocks & trees beside rebel base (on left as you look at the rebel base); or big rocks and trees in front of rebel base, in front of the rebel base wall (on left as you look at the rebel base); or big rocks and trees up on the hill in the middle of the map (on right as you look at the rebel base) (which would mean the path goes around half the length of the map to get over for a shooting position near the rebel base)?

I tried big rocks and trees up on the hill in the middle of the map (on right as you look at the rebel base) a few times, with Mantel Humvee, as it seemed the route with a slight driveable incline, but I'm not having any success finding a path.

Don't share secrets of glitching you guys. All it does is breed more glitchers; if they aren't smart enough to figure it out on their own then tough toodles!

yea i hate glitchers and nobody should reveal them

@ J-PAD and Pantera_Azul, you guys might be right... but since learning about this, there's nothing I enjoy better than going to the base of that hill before a trooper can make it over there, laying a mine, then backing off and watching the cheeky little sh*t roll over it and kill himself, and sometimes his buddy. Beautiful. They rarely recover quickly enough to get back over there again.

thats why sometimes when i host a game and i know that their is known glitchers on the same game i put the player icons on every body so if they go up the rocks or behind the rocks near th rebel base so we can find them. their is no need to glitch people only glitch who cant play the game so if you glitch in any of our h_uk matches weather ure on the same team or not we will shoot u bwarned

I think sticking an icon on your opponents takes all the good out of the game, there's no cat-and-mouse; no hiding; no stalking; no creeping-up; no shock; no surpise.

w-r-a-f-t-e-r: I love it! Planting traps where glitchers go to do their 'thing' is a great deterrent.

se1975: Knowing (who the glitchers are) is half the battle! If known, or even suspected, glitchers are joining my game, I'd do everything possible to discourage their behavior. That's a perfect reason to enable icons as it prevents ppl from hiding in walls or in out of the way places. (Or at least shows WHERE they are hiding.) A carefully placed 'nade or rocket is usually just the ticket...!

And yes w-r-a-f-t-e-r, it does take the surprise and hiding out of it, but in these special cases that's the point! Haze benefits in the long run if we weed out the dishonest players.

One of the reasons I don't play CoD4 (on PC) much these days is because of all the rampant glitching, hacking, aimbotting, etc... It's a great game, ruined by all the little creeps who just can't play (or win) w/o cheating.

Hence, we have this thread. We should compile a master list of all known glitchers, and make it as difficult for those practices to continue as possible. When it gets too hard for those no-talents to even play, they'll just go elsewhere to make themselves feel 'special' and the rest of us can enjoy an honest game!

Just a comment. First time I realised there was a sniper in the glitch in the corner behind the rebel base on MML, I went back there and lobbed a grenade over the rock, and I killed him.

I have tried to do this 30 or 40 or maybe 50 times since, and I have never succeeded. Was the first time a fluke, or what's going on?

Has anyone lobbed over a grenade and killed a glitcher?

I dunno; maybe just a lucky toss?

There's a particularly annoying wall glitch in Shanty Town (those who've fallen prey to it will know where it is...). I've tried like hell to get at the glitcher behind the wall: 'nades, rockets, flames... to no avail!

Next time I'll try a 'nade trap, see if that sticks!!

let me know if you all figure somethin out on that... id love to be able to ko some ppl glitchin on the spot. either way tho i remember the offenders and you better believe i will come at you hard.

Ok usually on MML the glitchers are the Troopers, they want to get on top of the mountain or behind the rock as quickly as possible.

So when the game starts, you as a Rebel get a sniper and walk on the left side of the mountain until you get to point where the Troopers go up on the mountain, so if you don't see them yet just hide, you want to wait until they are trying to claim up the mountain with the buggy, now just snipe them off.

I just had a game with EGM_MISTER and he kept restarting the game because I kept sniping him off. LOL

so your saying if a skilled enough player can get somewhere where he/she can't be found easily that is a bad thing? sounds to me like bad player rantings cause they cant do it themselves.
last time i checked hacking is illegal not glitching... kinda the same as super jumping on halo 2

Um, yes quatre, it IS a bad thing. It's called glitching! That is, doing something that the game isn't programmed to allow in order to have an unfair advantage over others.

It sounds to me like you are a glitcher because you're trying to defend the act. And no, glitching technically isn't illegal, but it is the hallmark of an unskilled punk @ss cheater... (and NOBODY respects a cheater!)

since when is anything fair? someone very skilled at the game and someone that is utterly just bad at shooting games (such as the kind that go around killing their own team mates so that they think they can beat someone) is that fair? no its not.
yes i have done both mml glitches and am very good at doing both but up on top of the mountain its still just as easy to get sniped as anyone else. the only advantage is the range of view.
if the makers really cared y dont they just make an update for it slightly changing the maps to close off the glitches. and unless your in a game with a small amount of people (not considering bots) it can be hard to even get full ammo and make it to a vehicle w/o dieing first.
im not saying im the best but i do consider myself very good at the game. (my average standings at the end of a match is 40/10; or somewhere around that ratio depending on game length) theres nothing wrong with using all possible tools to win as long as u dont hack the game
if you really dont like it then dont play. sure you can kick people off unranked play but its not like they cant just log back in and keep goin.

actually u dont know my name, i dont use the same name for everything. and if anyone actually tries to use either of the glitches, if you dont get them done quickly when the game starts and a lot of people are on then its pretty hard to do them. this is all exactly the same as when people used super jumping in halo 2 to get on top of super high buildings to snipe. ive played dozens of games where people use the glitches; i dont cry about it, i just stay out of their line of sight. heres a hint: use the glitches, learn all possible view points, if you find someone using them either kill them or stay out of their line of sight.
