Q: On Pandora Tomorrow, in Kundang, Indonesia, what am I missing when I'm trailing Sadono and I fail the mission due to "objective opportunity missed?"
A: Part of trailing Sadono also includes obtaining a keypad code for his private villa toward the end of the level. Lambert and Grimsdottir will both instruct you to use your sticky cam to overhear the code which Sadono verbally tells his 3 lieutenants on site. From this point, you'll have 3 opportunities to do this. First and most practical chance is right after Lambert and Grim tell you to use the cam. Second chance is after the hut in which you get a save checkpoint. The third and final chance is in the large courtyard with the burning barrel after the guards and dog. In all 3 cases, Sadono and his escort will stop walking and begin to talk with his lieutenant, giving you a chance to shoot your sticky cam ANYWHERE in the courtyard. It doesn't have to be too close to him, as it's ultra sensitive to soundwaves and will pick up Sadono's voice from even the furthest point away in the courtyard. However, if you shoot the cam too close, it will alert them and Sadono will simply move on. After launching the camera, stay in it's point of view and wait for Sadono to tell the code. The wavelength bar will turn red as he says the code. Once he gives it, exit the sticky cam view and continue trailing him. [This message was edited by Terrax213 on Mon May 03 2004 at 10:04 AM.] |

Q: When I am told to Identify Soth I can't find him and I'm looking through heat vision and I'm using my
binoculars. Very sipmle answer: Go to the railing (as close as you can) and look down as far as you can you should see him there. =) |

Q: The door is jammed on a certain part of the level
A: it means you either aren't looking carefully enough, and you need to find another way in, OR you missed completing an objective. "We are agents of the free" Has Joined "The seek after Mike" |

Q:how can u get more then 2 people to play on system link for xbox
A:you can have one player per xbox - so if you have 2 xboxes, you can have 2 players. If you have 4 xbox linked through a hub, then 4 players. |

quote: Yep u sure do. The 3 times Sadono stops walking, he's talking to each of his 3 lieutenants, arranging for a meeting about the soldiers abusing the "product" and giving the daily code to his villa. Fisher: "I need you to raise that submarine." Technician: "Why?" Fisher: "Because hurting people ruins my sweet disposition." |

quote: you have to be stealthy here. quietly work on the lights and the workers. the timer starts once they bad guys know youre there, so the stealthier, the better. Once you are spotted, yes, take them out as fast as possible since the timer begins. Once they are all down you STILL have to get up there to the container and stop the vile activation. Get that all taken care off and you win, credits roll....... |

quote: Easier method; without dropping onto the catwalk, from the vent, get out a distraction cam, fire it up to the pipe on the same level as the enemies on the catwalk, so it's facing the catwalk, and call the enemies over, wait for all of them to get near the cam and gas the buggers, you can't leave even one of them, or they'll wake up the others. Once you've gassed them, the timer starts, so run like hell, not worrying about the LAX workers, to the ladder that goes up to the platform (on the left from where you come in) and drop onto the catwalk your sleeping enemies are on, shoot each of them in the head, one by one, to fulfil the mission objective and run towards the bomb with seconds to spare Cutscene, credits, it's all over. |

OK, double posting here, but with my own question
I'm on the last level of Splinter Cell, where I come up in the lift and there are enemies ready and waiting for me, and I always, ALWAYS seem to die, any tips for taking these bad boys out? |

quote: The most effective and best way is to not take them out believe it or not. When you exit the elevator, run full speed and dont stop ... make a sharp U turn to the right, then to the right of the small table, then to the left of the bookshelf, then head right for the dark open doorway in the wall. By the time these bad boys even get in position to lay into you, you're long gone, and when you listen to you're communications, you'll hear them soon having their own issues to deal with. If you prefer confrontation, smoke grenades, finding a nice safe hiding spot, and timely head shots are the key, but in all honesty, I've beaten Splinter Cell several times, and have never killed all 4 of them. quote: Take out the terrorists really quick from the platform above the ladder to your right when u pop out thru the hole by the elevator (you may have to take out the spotlight on the wall). The timer will start when you start shooting the mercinaries and Soth. Once u finish 'em all off, just run like crazy to the ladders that would be on the opposite side of the room (which would be to the left of the elevator hole). You don't have to worry about the other guards because they can't do anything to you. *You can elbow 'em on the way by if u want*. climb up the 2 ladders and then jump off the ledge that should be directly in front of you. You will run over the 3 people you killed and keep running until you get to the ND133, which will trigger a cut-scene. Hope this Helps! |

Q. In LAX, I think I've taken down all the terrorists, but at a certain point I'm told over the radio that not all the terrorists are dead and I cannot proceed. What did I miss?
A. This mission requires you to neutralize 10 terrorists total, otherwise you will not be able to make it past certain trigger points throughout the airport. First, you must distinguish terrorists from civilians. Due to the smallpox vaccination, they're body temperature is higher than normal, and will be bright orange thru the thermal vision. They must be KILLED, as just knocking them out won't work. If you knock them out first, never forget to put a bullet into their head to finish them off. Their locations are as follows: **1 in the parking garage, in the booth by the door 1 in the small baggage room, talking with a regular worker in the middle of the room 3 in the large baggage room...1 on the bottom floor sitting in a brightly lit area, 1 mingling on the bottom floor, 1 on the upper level in the cubicle area **1 in the terminal waiting area, walking from right to left, and eventually into a keypad locked door after he tells a civvy worker he needs to step outside for a minute **1 in the ticket sales office, mingling in the dark area. A service rep is in this same room talking with a woman on the phone about an Albuquerque flight 3 in the catwalks atop the elevator shaft. All 3 are close together up near the top and preparing the ND133 for decompression. Soth is one of these final 3 The terrorists I marked with ** may be interrogated. Though you don't have to interrogate them to complete the mission, the conversations are intriguing. Terrorist: What the hell? Fisher: That's the question, exactly. I hope your answers are more apt. Inside the Chinese Embassy on original Splitter Cell: There's this horrible, huge stretch without a save point for ages, where you have to get past a camera, some sleeping guards, a combo-pad using the IR vision, a load of drone-guns in the main hall, and get through a door with an eye scanner using the Colonel!
When I'm shimming across to the other side of the hall on the beam with the flags, that stupid @*!!?&% Colonel always turns round and starts shooting before I can get across! Do I have to be more quiet somehow? Or is it a timing thing? Help me please!!.. |

|
quote: How do you get on the ledge? I shoot out the lights under the other window, but I always set off an alarm shimmying around. I hang from the gutter and walk myself around hand over hand. Should I be standing on the ledge? |

quote: A: It is a little bit of both I think. The best way I found to never get detected is this: First, before jumping to the pipe and shimmying behind the flag, shoot out the light where the retinal scan door is at to make that area dark. Then make your way across hand over hand til you reach the stars on the Chinese flag. Pull your feet up and watch the colonel to open the door. Immediately after he gets situated and his back is to you, shimmy hand/foot over hand/foot. There's about a 15-20 second window between his animations (taps his feet, stretches, etc.). Sometimes he will look behind him quickly, and if you're near the bright spotlight shining on the flag when he does, you're a sitting duck. This 15 second window gives you time to shimmy quietly, then press Y then hold B when you're hanging over the ledge behind him. Holding B will make Sam drop silently once he lets go of the pipe. You'll land right behind him, so just grab him and use him on the scanner. Terrorist: What the hell? Fisher: That's the question, exactly. I hope your answers are so apt.
