I really hate to bother you asking about hints for a game that has much of walkthroughs..but actually it seems that is something is going on with my game..I'm in mission 5 SHANGHAI trying to listen to secret meeting between terrorists as ordered by NSA whenever I reach the meeting and try to record I'm always late no matter how fast I'm..the conversation i catch begins with .... Don't try to trick me ends with lets have a drink....then the helicopter comes and the objective is failed....I did my best to be fast enough but I have a slow downing issue in performance causing problems in movements making me slow but I thought all the game has to beslow........

the steps I took till this point is as following....saving the chopper from the crash....opening the metal door by lock pic running as fast as I can to the crane withoutbeing seen by the guards....hacking the tool of the crane...turning light off....jump from the roof moving into ledges without seen by civilians thenreaches the point of the meeting.....

all that without a second of stop tyring to be as fast as i can...this remind me of the laser mic glitch in the very first splinter cell is it the same way in this case.....I don't know I don't see many people complaining about that.....Generally I've updated my Game with the 2 officially released patches....sorry for causing you a headache..But if you have the slightest idea of what should I do please post instantly......thanks

Yes man i tried it all...in the middle of the room and below the room each time starts with "It works.....ends with I smoke" But strangley the meter time is half filled and time is almost full although I alwayse Hear the same..I do not no what is Im doing wrong but I alwayse seem late however I use jumping to speed up...If any one could could send me a save game after recording or could tell me what is wrong or have other suggetions please tell....

It definately sound like a glitch to me.

I played the SP on the 360, and the first time through that part I was seen every time, even if I was above the lights. I restarted the level and made it through that.

I guess you will just have to find a save game.

I'd help, but I played only part way through the SP on my PC to see how it performed. After that, I just played SvM on PC.

The meeting can only be recorded by planting a bug on the table in the middle of the room.

If you've winched down from the overhead light or 'jumped' across the furniture to the table and "plant the bug", then either winched back up to the ceiling or hidden in one of the side outcroppings and it still fails, then yes you've got a buggy mission.

If it's truly messed up, try loading from the "Mission" menu instead of the "Progress" menu to restart the mission. That should get you a clean start.

thank you too man for your posting but I dont quite get you how do I plant a bug in the room if Im not allowed in and Im suppose to record the meeting with laser mic from behind the glass...please clear things a little bit....and to all who trouble themselves posting help Im truly thankful for your help....
Finally what would happen if I Ignore this objective would I gain NSA trust again Im playing at normal...

Does it let you move any to evade the helicopter before it gives you the objective failed thing?

Nope...when the man said "while I smoke"it's"heads up"and it's objective failed without any chance to evade........

yes.....several times....I guess its a constant glitch..thanks for your cooperation...that leaves me no option but to skip this objective hope to regain trust of NSA in The missions to come....

solution which worked for me: While on the window washing platform change your inventory kit to Microphone as the primary. Then get over to next rappel point and quickly "shoot" rappel to just below window (down/shift key). Quickly hit primary weapon (E key) and begin record. This will save the 0.5s you need to finish conversation and rappel down.

It seems that if you do not finish conversation record heli will spot you faster than once the objective is complete.
