Im trying to do a minimal kill/ko run (hard difficulty) on the gamecube and im stuck on the sub mission after getting through the sub. I dont know if there are equipment differences between the consoles or not. but I found a walkthrough for the xbox and it says to use ring airfoils and smoke grenades. when starting the game from this particular checkpoint all i have is my guns, flares and a flashbang no equip for the sc-20k. Is my only option to knock out the first guy and kill all the rest? HELP!!!

Why don't you distract them? I can't remember if PT had a whistle, probably not. Anyway just jump on the spot to lure guards away from where you want to go. Use your envirnment, cans, bottle, etc. KO is your last resort and killing is your very last resort. I have the xbox version so i can help you with weapons/gadgets for the GC.

there is no one to distract, they just start automatically shooting at me before i even get to the bottom entrance to the stairwell. All i was given for gadgets for this part of the mission is flares and a flashbang i didnt get the smokes or the foils back that i had earlier in the mission that i didnt use.

i can whistle but there are no cans or bottles problem is what is whistling going to do if they cant hear it over their own gunfire? maybe you could replay just that mission and see what i mean. i think the equipment given is different for each console. that or its a glitch. tell me what you think

Sounds like you have exited the sub. On the PC, there was a box at the top of the stairs with the gas grenades and some other things on it with a med kit on the wall next to it. I ended up with three grenades I think. You need to practice where to shoot them to KO the guards without causing the fuel barrels near them to explode. It is possible to KO them and have that plus hte sub engineer be your only KOs on the level (and no kills) if you are good (and lucky sometimes!).
