You get past the laser using your Thermal goggles. be careful there is a wall mine ether shoot it or disable it.

Hide the bodies in dark places before going down the corridor to the library basement. I'd say it's about a 99.9999999% chance that's why an alarm is going off. Also, make sure any bodies upstairs before you go down the elevator are hidden too. One of those could be triggering the alarm as well.

Heres my video walkthrough of Pres. Palace pt 2 on filefront, but you have to download it, i think. It usually streams live but ido not know why? It wont take long.

Good job! I could never get to the elevator KO-free without shooting out the light by the door first. That made it dark there and distracted the guys enough that I could maneuver around and get into the elevator. I haven't done it in so long, but I had my little pattern down and it was pretty foolproof. From that point to the end I always did it pretty much the same as your vid. (though sometimes I purposely drop hard from the ledge by the extraction door to get the guards in there to hear me, and they start firing right as I reach the door and go to the cutscene. Just adds a little drama lol) -------------------------------- "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And poof. Thanks. And that bit without shooting the light by the elevator is pretty consistent. I did it about 4 or 5 times in a row.
Lol, all you need is a little more drama. I think Ubi could have done a better end scene with Sam rather than just run him through it. |

Would've been one hell of a challenge to have to make it all the way back to the ledge where you climb up at the beginning of the mission instead of just the front door to the palace. (spotlights to negotiate, heightened alerted guards, etc). Though I guess Ubisoft thought showing the spotlights & Sam running for his life in a cutscene was a good way to end the mission.

Nice video. I think the AI on XBox is not as sensitive as the one on PC Hard. If I flinched during the "don't move a muscle" bit, I would have been shot up. You took less time getting into the elevator that I do too. I am still watching for the right moment. But I have gotten out the exit about as quickly after you kill him.

True, it was pretty cool, though i wish they made it a little longer and Splenter Cell'ish, like a little more sneaky and observing. Though i think its just me liking stealth lol.
Thanks jzorro. I've actually got the PC vesion for SC1 and yes, they are a little more sensitive on the PC and quite harder too. |
