Okay, so the rules are simple. Rate the avatar of the person who posts before you based on the following criteria:

Size: Is the avatar's size appropriate for the art it contains?
Art: Is the art unique, memorable, and .. artistic?
Crop: Is the avatar's crop centered? Is there too much in the avatar, or is it well-balanced?
Quality: Is the avatar crisp, sharp, and free from visible image compression?
Border: Does the avatar have a border, and if so, is it of good quality? Does it compliment the art used?

Do NOT rate someone's avatar if you already have before. This topic isn't about post count.

Also, comment on the avatar instead of just throwing out a number. If you give someone an 8, tell them why you don't think they deserve a 10.

Nice animation, but it's a little checkered.

(The thing on the left is the great protoon and one of those yellow ball things that hang from my hat.)

6/10. The character has no anti-aliasing with the black background and has still some JPG bad quality spots in it. The border makes it look like a button. But still 2 more points just because you're using Mr. Dark lol..

Good image quality, good pose, good everything. Only problem is that it's basically an old RZ avvie that you found and made it 60x60.

Nice art made by yourself which is always a pluss in my book. Lovely, not eyeburning colours. Also compliments your sig. Only problem is that the black lines are so thin they appear weak and faded, so 9/10 for that. By making the black lines just a tad bit thicker, you'll easily score a 10 from me.

I really can't say much more than what's already been said about your avatar. The quality of the picture is quite bad and unclear (jpg compression?), and I honestly don't think the border makes it look much nicer either.
However, I think the avatar has a very nice focus, and you've picked a nice picture. So fixing the image quality and the border would earn you a 9/10 from me. (:
