Once again the Rayman Forum has been hacked. It is the umpteenth time it has happened in recent years. Whether it is down to carelessness with the ones responsible for the forum or it is the work of highly intelligent hackers I cannot say. But the decision not to restore the forum through the back-up is inexcusable. It shows very little respect for those who have spent time contributing to the forum. There was a thread in Rayman Hints and Tips, where contributors have spent countless hours writing down solutions. This thread could be helpful for those playing R3 now and in the future. It is arrogant to neglect to restore the Hints and Tips section if a back-up has been made. So I urge those responsible for the forum, for the sake of the future of this forum, to rebuild what can be rebuilt. |

the sh!tty forum system doesnt allow forum specific backups and the hackers started the deletion weeks before anyone noticed it, so restoring such a back-up would have deleted even more posts actually.
join pc instead, at least we dont get hacked lol |

watch it you two. The person who tore down the forums deleted the forums one post at a time over a certain period of time...making all backups null and void. There's nothing we can do about it.

there's plenty of things you (ubi at least) can do about it, and indeed need to do about it, considering that this is the third time it's happened. :|
try: - protecting your password properly in the first place - removing moderator's deletion rights and replace with the ability to move to a trash can - monitoring the deletion logs properly - putting raymanzone on a separate area of groupee why none of those things is being done after knowing about this problem for more than a year is a potentially hard puzzle to answer unless you reckon that they just can't be arsed. |
