I was born the year Myst came out, and didn't actually see it until I was about 5. I tried it but it was much too confusing at that age. Now I am 14, and I finally got it out of the library! I install it but unfortunately, the game is just too old for me now. I am too used to better graphics and color, (does 256 colors hurt anyones else's eyes?) and the not being able to see full 360 degrees just seems too limiting. Luckily I have the strategy guide came with it, so I can read the great storyline! Oh well, luckily Myst 5 came out today! I cannot wait to buy it!

Have you forgotten all the Myst games?

There was Myst, Riven, Myst Exile, Uru and Uru with some add on's, Myst Revelations, and now Myst 5 Final (don't remember the exact name.

Myst also had a couple iterations that others say were better, but I never played them.

They are all worth looking into as the real effort is fixing the puzzles. Graphics can improve the view but the problem is the puzzles.

smurf perhaps you'll find RealMyst more to your likening. A few more abilities were added to this version, viewing your surroundings just one.

Plus, remember when the game was released and the type of computers available at that time. You have to take the original as it is and not compare it to more modern games. Games developed with better engines.
