To play the Real Myst game do you definitely need to have a DVD Drive?

No, its on a cd. 6x recommended.

Actually I would recommend doing a full install and run the whole thing off yur hard drive... CD access makes the game painfully slow and choppy... and I was running it on a 52X drive

Someone please help me with something... What exactly is real Myst? Is it like another version of the island of Myst? Are the graphics better or what?
