I attempt to install Myst on my XP and it gives me sometype of error message saying that the application is unable to run on Windows or some **** like that. It's the same message I recieve when I attempt to open MS/DOS. I have tried making it compatible with Windows 98 and 2000 but I still get the same message. I assume I need to buy the 10th Anniversary Edition if I want to play it on my XP?

Try Win95 compatability and make sure you check "run in 256-color mode" AND "run at 640x480". Also, if that doesn't work, uninstall any new copies of Quicktime you may be running and install the version included on the Myst CD, then re-install your latest version. The reason for this is that some of the library files from the older versions aren't used or are so significantly changed that they don't support the older games using those libraries. Installing the old version of Quicktime will restore those libraries, but only if you install it without a newer version present (Quicktime is a fickle and evil monster of an app sometimes, nice as it is).
