i just got myst last night and installed it today. i played around with it for about an hour and a half, and i don't have a clue as to what to do. if someone could reply and help me or IM me on aim [sn - valium wine] it would be a great deal of help. thanks a lot :]

You appear to be in the correct forum for Myst.

The first thing to do is wander all around the island and see what is available to look at and do. Pickup notes, find secret doors, go into the library and read books, play with pictures and maps. There are switches to set and a power room for adjusting power. There is the cabin near the big tree and a control box near the clock tower in the water. Much to do and it is mostly self learned applications.

When you start to get the feel of how Myst operates it will be more intuitive for you.

thanks so much :] after the next few hours of playing it and really getting into the details i've kind of got the hang of it, i suppose :] i've gotten to the stoneship age and to the mechanical age so far. thanks for the reply
