I tried doing all the patch, video, and compatibility settings and still got the choppy videos in Myst.

After reverting back to the original settings, I went into QuickTime preferences (v 7.1.3), and set the Sount Out rate to the HIGHEST setting (192 kHz for me).

Worked like a Charms blow pop.

You mean you can actually get Myst to work with the newest version of Quicktime?

What version of Myst to you have? No matter how much I mess with Quicktime settings, I cannot get MME 10th Anniversary to work with the newest version of Quicktime.

I'm using an even newer version of Quicktime (7.4.0.91). Worked fine right out of the box.

You will find about brian032's version if you check the title of this thread.

I have played that version from the Myst 10th Anniversary DVD Edition and I had no problems.

I also played the Real Myst version (with the extra Rime age) from my Gametap account without any problem. (except for the limited save game slots available... )
