I just got the Myst 10th anniversary edition. Will I be able to play Myst on my 17" flat panel LCD monitor, which has a native resolution at 1280X1024 or will I have to drag out my old CRT monitor? The lowest resolution my LCD monitor will go down to is 800X600. Thanks!

The original Myst requires 640 x 480. (Not sure about Myst Masterpiece.)

I have the box version of 10th Anniversary DVD Edition: (Myst Masterpiece) and on the plastic holder box's insert, it does say..
"Monitor: 640X480 resolution: 32-bit/millions of colors" |

Yes I know that The 10th anniversary edition requires a screen resolutionof 640X480 but will it work on my monitor?? That was what I was asking, will it work on my LCD monitor that has a native res. of 1280X1024.?? Refer to the 1st post I made.

Why do you say that the lowest resolution your monitor will go down to is 800X600?

I just installed RealMyst on my 17" LCD laptop and the game is quite sluggish at those high resolutions. I set it down to 16bit 800x600 and it seems to work pretty good. |
