have tuned in all the sounds and set sliders to the correct sequence but cannot get doors to open for return to myst

Are you absolutely sure you have set the correct sounds? Try setting them again while listening carefully. There are some sounds that are easily confused. I know it sounds silly, buthere are some sounds that are easily confused.
If you still have problems, could you post the sequence you've tried?

sequence of sounds as follows.PANPIPES.WATER.WIND.VOLCANO.CLOCK
have gone back to transmitter times to see if i had made a mistake but playback sequence is the same

Stupid question time (you can always count on me for these ): did you just set the sliders, or did you set them and then press the large red button beneath the speaker?

the sound i needed was the background noise of the clock the rest of the sounds are okay this opened the door ,im on my way.

ok...im nota cheater...but there is also the guide at the bottom black side of screen. i use it wen im really stuck., and btw, do anyone no how to get back from selenetic age faster than going all tose ways?

I'm afraid the underground maze is the only way out of the Selenitic age - there is no shortcut...
