The game sequence is Myst, Riven, Exil, and then Revelation.

I forgot to say that each game is independant of the other. If you choose, you can play them in random order.

It is a whole new story each time, but you may notice - especially with the last two games - that there are references in journals and conversations to events that happened in pervious games, so playing them through in the correct order will keep you from getting confused about particulars. Pretty much the only things that remain consistent between games are the main characters... where you go and what you do will change in each game.

And I would suggest you play Myst before Riven. Those two are directly connected to each other.

To a point, at any rate. For the "ending" of Myst, if you can call it that, is what brings upon the beginning of Riven.

I like Myst 5. I like Uru. I like Realtime 3D *and* Prerendered graphics. I like game history more than I like RAWA history, and while I think Myst 3/4/5 were great games, I think it would have been best to end on Riven and move to Uru. Any questions?
