Is there any chance I could have a mod that would allow me restart the game from the beginning with the character I've created.
The thing is I don't want any more XP points other than the ones I forgot to collect the first time through...
Any chance this could happen? Or am I going to be a sad panda?

This is how I understood your request:

• starting over with the same spells etc. as when you ended the game
  
• you will not get points for doing a quest you did in your first run.

I don't think the last request can be done at the moment. Wait for more info on the features of the new SDK... : )

Step 1: Get the filename of the first map
Step 2: Press the ~ button to open the console
Step 3: Type changelevel nameofmap.bsp
Step 4: ????????
Step 5: Profit

If you don't have the console enabled, here are the steps to activate it:
Step 1: Press ESC to open the pause menu
Step 2: Click "Options"
Step 3: Click the "Keyboard" tab
Step 4: Click "Advanced"
Step 5: Check the option that has ~ in it
Step 6: ????????
Step 7: Profit

To chaofan: Thanks, I was actually wondering how to do that, although I was talking about a mod.

if your experienced with hl2 or any other source game you will know what the "changelevel" and the "changelevel2" command does, however, changing the map does not seem to carry your stats.

In a game i had tried this, when i switched the map my character had literly nothing, no items, no skills, no expereience.

could anyone give me an example of the command changelevel2 that actually works? I seem to be having a real hard time getting it to work!
