Hey people!

I wonder if there is a way to change the items the npcs spawn with?

I would like to spawn orcs and human guards with their cool helmets ;-)
Or give the human guard the long sword.

Is there a way to do that?

Not sure if that can be done in game... I know that it can be done via a map editor...

I suppose you could try doing something like mm_npc_create Phenrig "ornament/model/location/here.mdl"

not sure if that would work though

npc entities have 3 keys (additionalhelmet, additionalshield and additionalequipment) assigning them helmet shield and weapon respectively, but you must recompile the bsp in order to assign something different.

You can edit the .QCT files to assign different "reactions" and maybe animation with the playvcd command ie:
"playvcd"
{
"40" "orc/orc_grab" // Plays a specific vcd file on a frame (here frame 40).
}

You have to discover what the animations are though...
