Recently bought the tom clancey Endwar game for my playstation3. I had an EX-01 Bluetooth playstation3 headset witch is not the original headset provided with the game, I was told it would be no problem working with the game. After setting up my headset through the playstation3 menu going through the motions [Settings] > [Accessory Settings] > [Manage Bluetooth® Devices]. Then i used the “audio device setting” menu and turn on the “input device” and “output device” options. I proceeded to the game itself. The headset seems to be in full working order as I can use voice commands during the game but I have no sound from the headset speaker. All the sound from the actual game is still coming from my tv speakers. Was under the impression that any voice feedback from the orders I give out would come back via my headset and not my TV. Have tried the game menu and i've gone back to the playstation menu to try and rectify the problem but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere.currently i have System update version 2.6 and I understand you need version 2.3 for the headset to work so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Is the headset not the correct one for the game? is there suppost to be audio from this game? Am I missing out any obvious set-up stages? Is there any headset set-ups in the game I need to change.
I had the same problem with a USB headset--it works fine in the PS3 menu (sound comes from headphones, microphone works), but when I play EndWar (just purchased two days ago), all sound continues to come through speakers, not headphones. I called Ubisoft Tech support, and they said that is how it "works" (and I use the term "works" loosely). This is really pretty ridiculous, as you have to wear headphones to use the microphone, which muffles sounds from the speakers. Unbelievable....how could such painfully stupid design have made it past their marketing department?
The sad part of the story is that this feature seems to be working on xbox and not ps3:

Can you set up a bluetooth the same as you can the XBox headset, so when you talk to your units, their responses come through the headset, not the TV speakers?
EX: "Unit 1 move to foxtrot" unit (through headset): "yes commander"
