I won more that 100 TOW matches and bought more than 60 upgrades for my units, but when I downloaded the expansion pack I did not automatically get "Lonely at the Top" and "Down to Size".

Then I thought, hmmm..., may be they are going to kick in when I win another match and buy another upgrade. I did so and nothing happened.

Then I thought, hmmm..., may be the counter starts from zero with the upgrade. But then I accidentally killed an enemy unit (I never do it on purpose) and I unexpectedly got "Casualties of War", which means the counter did not start from scratch with the update.

Explanation appreciated.

It has to be 100 TOW Wins on the Leaderboard, not your Barracks. As for the upgrades, simply cycle your side and then rejoin, you'll have half your credits and can upgrade from there.

Well, it is over 100 TOW wins and over 60 upgrades to my TOW units.

I applied the recent update and won another TOW mission and still no achievement. This is frustrating

Oh man, this game has issues. I just scored the Oppenheimer. I was loosing and WMD'ed one of the uplinks. I though "That silly bastard was gathering his units there to prepare for the attack ". But then the stats show only one enemy unit defeated! It is unbelievable. It is such a great game and has such silly hick-ups.

Because you had already did the requirement before the Pack came out.

I also did "Lonely at the Top" and "Down to Size" before the pack came out, but did not get them at the time of the next win and the next upgrade. So, is that a glitch or is there something I don't understand about these achievements?

I just got "Mass Murderer".
There is no way I killed 500 units in ToW.
I defeated 1690 units.
There is no way I killed one in every three units I defeated.

Stuff like drones and UAVs count to, if you do raids often you will get a lot just for killing the little guard drones.

Yes, now when I think about it, it is quite possible I killed that many units - if one counts the drones, UAVs, regular army supports, etc. I am still amazed, but yes, it is possible.

I was also complaining about the "Down to Size" achievement. I have over 70 upgrades if supports are counted and the command vehicle, but I have less then 60 if supports and command vehicle are not counted. So, perhaps everything is fine, just not clearly explained.

I got "Lonely at the Top" for winning 128th mission. May be it had to be a power of 2
Seriously though, perhaps not all "battles" count as "missions". And again, it is fine, but could be a little better explained.

I also got confused by the retroactive nature of "Oppenheimer". If you did it in the past, you get it automatically, but not before you WMD something. The retroactive achievements are somewhat questionable.

So anyways, I am probably done whining about achievements now. I hope I am not the only one who has a busy life and limited gaming time and sometimes gets paranoid about achievements.
