I am talking for the Xbox.

EVERYONE I speak too in lobbies, when this problem persists, is having the same problem. I know of people trading this game in because of this problem. It is NOT my router. Mt friend's list, once populated with people playing Endwar, is now populated with people happily playing games that made an effort, like COD5.

Must admit this is getting some what ridiculous on Xbox 360. The title update needs to be pushed through MS certifaction in a hurry. I love the game but my patience is being tested to the max...... QPK please hurry up with a sticky update to keep us in the loop......

All my other games work absolutely fine in Online mode, only EndWar is having "challenges"....

Huh. I'm on 360 and still having no problems playing. That sucks that you are though. I would hate to only be able to play 4% of my matches. haha.

Well, hopefully they can fix it. Soon. The more players we lose to this, the less people I have to play against. =/

Maybe you and the other poster have awesome connections. But the game can not be desi9gned so that only people with awesome connections an get a match to happen. And this, does not happen all the time. It is most egregious on the weekends.

And I am serious, I enter lobbies when this happens, and I am asking people what they are experiencing, and it is always the same, I have never heard anyone say they have had no problems. Sometimes I don't ask, because the same people that were in the lobby before, are rejoinign the lobby I am in.

People are permanently leaving this game over this issue. I am about ready to myself.

I did not want to buy Halo Wars, but I just might now since I have the RTS "bug." With EndWar being the absolutely online failure it has become, I see many people buying Halo Wars that otherwise would not have. If the online matches worked, I would say the release of Halo Wars would not even be noticed by the EndWar community. Now, I am sure, many people are now wondering how soon it will be...

Battlestations: Pacific will totally eviscerate the EndWar online community if Halo Wars does not.

Narrowed the issue down on my connection to 4v4, 2v2 works like a bloody charm.... Xbox Live could be the problem here, as reports are coming in that CoD:W@W and FIFA 09 are struggling to run anything over 6 players.

This happens on 2v2 also. So much so, a player permanently quit the game yesterday.

I never hap problems with COD5. Is this something new?

I don't have a super-connection, but I am able to host games. Late in the evening (I am in UK), when a lot of US guys come on, I tend to let my buddy in the US host, as sometimes at that point I can get a little lag.

Just one thought, as you say it is mostly weekends, have you tried testing your internet speeds at these times against other (better) times? I wonder if your local exchange is overloaded by your neighbours (or perhaps it is one of your regular play buddies?). If you test speeds you could then have a chat with your ISP & tell them the exchange is overloaded at peak times.

Just a thought, as I and many of the friends I play with don't have the same issue. I don't have the fastest internet connection, but do live near a lot of older people who I suspect don't bittorrent or play online games.

Other than that managing who you play with is the only other tip I could offer. I'm on 360 too, and don't want to see more people leave the game.

People that say "I never have this problem" are probably playing singles. Singles aren't an issue because its host on host and pretty simple communication lines. The issue seems to be related to 2s and 4s where one person, usually a pickup it seems, has an issue communicating with the host – ungraceful host has quit. Once this happens, you must ALWAYS restart the room (annoying I know), that will at least prevent the freezing that you are experiencing. As the number of players increases, the possible chance of an unreliable connection goes up exponentially. 2s are definitely more reliable then 4s without a doubt. Some days 4s are just impossible to get and its unfortunately killed 4s for a lot of good players. They've all gone back to 2s. Sad because 4s are awesome.

There does seem to be some truth to a server related issue though. I have noticed that some hours are better than others. Everyone starts experiencing the "host quit" issue (just ask randomly on XBL) at the same time. A few hours later and magically its cleared up. Maybe the servers automatically reset if there is a major issue?

Good info, but I still doubt the server theory, as 95% of the time I don't see these problems, and definately not in the last week. Even when a lot of people on the forum say it is happening, I seem to be able to get a good 4v4. My internet isn't anything special (ADSL). I have been watching this over the last few days. I suspect the times when alot of people see the issue, are just peak usage times, and hence more people with poor connectiosn are online trying to host/connect.

I do mostly play 4v4, but, do tend to stick to the same team-mates & gather them before looking for a game.

Just my experience, sorry for all those who are having problems, hope if we all gather info the situation can become clearer.

I play a lot of 1v1 and I've noticed that I get a host has quit or a console freeze maybe once in 20 or so games. But that is only after I wait for 15-30 min for a match, so I play maybe 5-10 matches a day before I get bored of no opponents. As I get bored I usually venture into 2v2's and 4v4's and host has quit and console freezing seems to become more rampant. So my theory is that the Endwar servers are having problems holding the player load, or I just have really bad luck and getting constantly paired with people with cronically bad connections.

Could someone in Shanghai, well, tend to the product?

Everyone in the lobbies are suffering this. Wether I am hosting, or someone else is hosting.
