There seems to be a problem with the replay system. The first time I played a video, I noticed no problems. Units engaged and moved as normal.
The second time I played the same video, it played radically differently. The enemy's units were not the same between the two playbacks (Transports and Tanks were replaced with Artillery). Enemy gunships flew over my Transports, and my Transports stopped firing. Opposing units within point-blank range of each other did not engage each others. Air Strikes did no damage to enemy troops and targeted empty ground! Acclaim had the same problem with XGRA. What happened here? I still have this replay for analysis. -- EA Apologizes Ubisoft Shanghai's Mailing Address Shanghai (Studio) 13F & 15F, The Center 989 Chang Le Road Shanghai 200031 Tel: +86 21 5407 5666 Fax: +86 21 5407 5156 |

Don't know if it's correct or not but I read somewhere that if you spend too much time at your opponents deployment zone at the start of the replay that could do it. I know I had that problem early on and deleted those replays..then since reading that and not going directly to his DZ I haven't had that problem since.

my opponent DID rush my DZ in that video. thats probably it.
well, we have a problem, we have the solution, now let's act on it. -- EA Apologizes Ubisoft Shanghai's Mailing Address Shanghai (Studio) 13F & 15F, The Center 989 Chang Le Road Shanghai 200031 Tel: +86 21 5407 5666 Fax: +86 21 5407 5156 |

The replay system is horrible. The match actually plays AGAIN (The computer does everything that the players did in the game)
Wouldn't it just be easier to save an overall film of the match????? |

That would force a far larger save file, especially for a 3D fly-through type replay. Even a standard video of what the player saw, would be a pretty big save file. Saving commands & using the game engine = players not over filling their HDD & uploads in a reasonable time. This message has been edited. Last edited by: avoiderman, |
