If this game does not stop freezing, I am going to fricken snap. Everytime the game freezes in ToW, I have to manually turn off my Xbox. This of course has the potential to put unnecessary strain on the Xbox. Afterall, one should not continually press the power button on a PC, unless it is necessary. Therefore, the same rule of thumb should be applied to the Xbox. If the this ends up breaking something, I am not going to be a happy camper. Can Ubisoft please give us a time frame of when they are going to fix this? Thanks.

It's not the game, it's that your Xbox is about to Red-Ring. The same thing happened to me. All my games (especially EndWar) started freezing up a ton in the month or so before my xbox died. Since I got a new Xbox, I haven't had a single freeze.
In the mean time, try installing EndWar to your hard drive (Takes 5.4Gb). It'll decrease the freezes and quiet your disk drive. |

I really don't think its an Xbox issue. Endwar is the only game that freezes. It has to be a Ubisoft/Xbox live issue.

Its not the XBOX.
I'm having the exact same problem on the PS3 version. |

This is a common problem that the Shanghai office so far is unable or unwilling to address.

I strongly question your hypotize about a early warning for Red Ring would be in forms of freezings... never heard or seen anything about that and isn't supported by the logic behind the hardware. It's up to the game OR your machine might be running in a unpleasent environment - aka. just double check it and make sure it ain't running too hot as it might interefere with the stability of the unit - especially the earlier revisions of the Xbox 360 since they loved to produce and lock themselves in with the heat. I've only noticed freezes when somebody exits the game online - happened about three-four times total. All posts EFEC, Xbox 360. |

I disagree, like the previous poster I have found that freezing in games has been a precursor to hardware failure for the Xbox360. That said, it is not the only cause of freezing, and it does appear that SOME freezes are due to the cascading "host quit session" error. |
