I got this off of www.biaworld.com
First info...http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=12887 More recently, Gearbox have been working on Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, which is due for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year, though Pitchford notes that the company will “start screaming loud about it” toward the end of this month And today botman confirmed this and the gearbox forums: Randy is currently away at GDC (and I'm stuck here in Texas working, as usual ). Randy did mention that something is coming soon and I can confirm that people here are working hard on something that will make itself available shortly. - Guts & Glory - BiA Xbox Live Clan - Champions of the Official Brothers in Arms Tournaments www.gamingglory.com |

I'm glad to see I was not the only one that noticed another date seems to have slipped past that crackerjack team at UbiSoft.
Who the hell is in charge of that clusterf**k?! |

Not sure if this is meaningful at all, but the GearBox Software website lists 10 open jobs that have been advertised since December 2006.
While they may be hiring to get working on Alien, perhaps they had some key developers and animators leave the company. |

Wikipedia says that Hell's highway is out today. What the hell is going on

So does UbiSoft for leaving us all to twist in the wind!
If they can't commit to a deadline to release info, how can anyone expect them to announce a release date and believe it? I have never seen a game company act so irresponsibly with their customer base... |

Dilly is so right. But about that Wikipedia thing, it says that the release date is TBA 2007 not out today. But whatever.

Let's face the hard, cold facts guys...HH is not coming out any time soon. I would expect (or settle for) a holiday release at this point.
If the release follows the usual protocol, first there will be some new screen shots, then maybe a trailer, an interview with Pitchford or the Colonel, maybe a preview article, then finally a release date and the pre-order hype. Even though I read entries about how next gen games now take years to develop and release, it seems like COD and others can pop 'em out like babies (about every 9 months)! I am not a programmer or designer, but it seems they are taking an excessive amount of time for a game that is going into its 3rd series, no? |

|
And to pile on, now Midway is coming out with Hour of Victory in June.
I think we understand, based in the Wii announcement, that Gearbox is working on many fronts and perhaps it's diverting resources from finishing Hell's Highway. Who knows? Certainly not the user community based on information flow from the developers. |

you can't compare Cod3 with Hell's highway. Cod3 was a quick sequel for cod2. It was made with the same with the same gameplay features. Maybe some smalle new features. So you can make a sequal like that very quick. Brothers in arms Hell's highway is a diffirent story. It"s the first next-gen game. They are working with new hardware (unreal engine 3), so they it cost a lot of time to test the new hardware and to optimise everyhting. And Hell's highway has alot of new features. New squads, new advance order system, a new stealth system, physices, a new mp etc etc etc etc.. You can compare Cod3 with EIB. That was also a quick sequel with the same hardware and same game features. I believe they released EIB a Half year after Rth30!! |

Well said Henkie.
Also EiB came out almost exactly 7 months from Rth30 - Guts & Glory - BiA Xbox Live Clan - Champions of the Official Brothers in Arms Tournaments www.gamingglory.com |

I think the COD games are made by several different development teams, some perhaps more talented than others, which is why they can vary a bit in quality. (I.E. United Offensive, an expansion pack, kicked the **** out of the original COD, but COD was only marginally better for single player and TERRIBLE for multi player.)
Also, being a player of a strategy game that was rushed out for this last holiday season, WAY before it was ready (or even playable) I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for Hell's Highway. The company that released said strategy game just wanted Xmas sales, and now they've announced an expansion pack, even though the game STILL has more glitches than most software teams would have on a beta version. Yeah, they have my money for this game, but I was a devotee of the series before, and I won't be buying from them again. I'm very happy the Ubisoft and Gearbox are looking for long term fans instead of short term sales. Also, hopefully they'll follow the RTH30/EIB formula. One game (Baker) with a long gestation period, followed by another (Hartsock) without any HUGE advancements, but with some refinements and a much shorter development time. So long as they get everything right for Hell's Highway, it shouldn't be too tough to turn out a Hell's Highway II with similiar graphics and gameplay, but more maps and situations. |

Why can't they jusyt come out with a confirmed release date?
