Hello every one, do you think they will have the FG42 in Brothers in Arms Hells High Way? but i guess to have the FG42 they would have to have use Fallschirmjager infantry but i don't know if the German Luftwaffe used these infantry to attack the Americans and British in Operation Market Garden due to my Knowledge of these battles, so what do you think, will they have the FG42 in this game.

I don't think it will be in the game. It isn't shown in the weapons section of Brothers in Arms website. Here's a link to it: CLICK

i know i also thought that as well but then i noticed that the kar98 was also not in the list of weapons i didn't think they would leave that gun out of the game due to it being one of the most common German weapons

You're right. Now I'm confused. I guess we will have to wait for a full weapon list or wait for the game to be released to find out.

That was basically my question, i don't no if Fallschirmjager ever fought against American and English Paratroopers in Operation Market Garden there for not having the FG42 automatic rifle in the game due to it only being available to the the German Paratroopers. Thank for the post guys keep them coming if you can.Wink

Time for the buff to step in, there were about 3,000 german paratroopers in the area at the time of Market Garden under the command of Colonel General Kurt Student. They played a role in stopping the allies from advancing through the southern parts of the netherlands. The 3,000 men were organised into the 1st Parachute Armee which consisted of the german 1st and 2nd parachute corps and their field divisions. Thats about all i know so we may be seeing FG42s after all.

Wasn't Student the sort of the "Father of the Airborne"?

Yea Student was the German Airborne pioneer, he lead the first pure airborne asault on Crete, arguably the most disasterous airborne operation of the war. Thats why Hitler never used the Paratroopers in a pure operation ever again, only in a supporting role or as regular ground troops, like in Holland after the Allies had air superiority.

I wondered about the K98 too, but in a walkthrough video he walks past a dead german and it says on the screen 'press X or something, to swap for K98' so its in there, but not listed on the weapon site. weird

They probobaly didnt show all of the guns on the website because im guessing they want you to find out the rest of them when you buy the game. Also, the falschirmjager are most likely in the game. Go to the timeline section in the BIA HH website and it will tell you everything you'll need to know about what happened. The Kar98 is in the game, as it was the most common weapon for the standard German infantry. The falschirmjager usually had some FG42's but if it's not in the game it will be dissapointing. Oh well, at least they have the STG44 the first assault rifle ever made, lol.

I think the fg42 was not mass produced since the germans were being hammered on all fronts which made their industry collapse. therefore I think the fg42 was very rarely put into action.(Must have been a shocking experiance for the allies when it did though)
