I've noticed from EVERY screenshot and video where a German soldier is clearly seen, that all of them look exactly alike. Is this possibly just because the artists are working on this last, or perhaps its even some kind of art direction...idk...I'm just wondering cause RTH30 and EIB did awesome jobs in enemy variation...idk...just a concern I guess.

The PS2 versions of the games had basically armies of German clones. They all looked the same just some had different outfits on different missions. Thus another reason I am planning to buy these games for my computer so I can play the good versions of these games.

Yea, I agree with you Freeman, but haven't you noticed that they all look the same in HH? (At least thus far...)

I see what you mean. A lot of them do look alike. I sure they will fix it though.

I know. I'm so excited.

Off topic: And people have to read the forum rules again. I see Firefight700 doing a lot of editing lately.

well this may be a bit on the late side but what the heck....

i spend several hours to get the perfect screen...nah Angel i just pushed the speed dial on my keyboard, hers the result.

I know that Holland is a very different case from Normandy but will any of the other German units (Panzergrenadier, Fallschirmjager, etc) that were featured in RTH30/EIB will make another appearance in HH ?

Another note I just love the way GBX render their German models!!! Please keep it up guys

quote:
Market Garden saw perhaps the highest concentration of highly trained and skilled soldiers of the German Army. The most elite being the German 1st Parachute Army under the command of Kurt Student, the pioneer of Airborne paratroopers. These guys were involved in many secret operations such as the rescuing Mussolini from his mountain top prison. There were only about 3,000 soldiers from the 1st Parachute army involved in Market Garden, but they were EXTREMELY effective and were the only combat ready German troops when the battle begun.

The SS divisions in the area were very "Makeshift" as they were their for "rest and refitting"... Both the 9th and 10th SS divisions were well understrength. Combined they had no more than 7,000 men, that of one full strength division. The 2nd SS Panzer Corps., veterans of the Kharkov and Kursk tank battles on the Eastern front, were also called into the Arnhem area to fight the British 1st Airborne, and the US 82nd along with the Brit XXX corps in Nijmegen.

But we will be fighting more to the South as soldiers of the 502nd parachute division, the heaviest fighting will be well North of us in the areas mentioned above... Our battles will be fought in the Eindhoven area in the towns of Best, Son, St. Oedenrode, and Veghel... We will be fighting Wehrmacht regulars of the 59th Infantry Division (15th Army), Panzergrenadiers and Armour of the 107th Panzer Brigade, the 6th Fallschirmjäger regiment, and 10th Fallschirmjäger regiment 'Jungwirth' (1,700 soldiers)... We will initially see the Wehrmacht regulars, then the Panzergrenadiers, and finally the elite paratroops... Not too different from what we saw in Normandy, as I don't think we will be fighting any SS troops...

I hope Gbx doesn't give every other Fallschirmjager an FG-42 again. The amount of FG's that made it into the field were few and far-between.

On another note, I'm happy to see the models aren't cookiecutter! Very nice touch, as I always thought that Gbx had the best player models of any WW2 game yet. Wink2
