Hey guys, I had this concept of what Activision was thinking. They saw how AWSOME BiA:HH is coming out and they decided that, "Will make a Modern Warfare game because Bro...... is becoming to good, we already lost a few thousand buyers on CoD3 because too many people are on BiA's site talking about it, and watching YouTube videos of all the trailers over and over again[thats what I do, lol] so since we can't compete in the World War II gaming genre anyumore lets get out of going backrupt with a cruddy title![BiA:HH =All-CoD game's killer!]sorry CoD...BiA owns though!

Or maybe they were bored with the whole WW2 thing.

There are so many WW2 games out there. They might have decided that WW2 games are getting repetitive so they moved to a new time period.

I think they heard so many people complaining about WWII that they change to keep people interested

Soldiers usually win the battles and generals get the credit for them

Atlantic theater? I think you mean the Pacific Theater.

Your assumption is incorrect. WWII have been done to death, Activision is simply changing up the scene to modern warfare.

I don't know how long you have been playing WWII FPS games, but to me, it got kinda old for now.

There always will have die-hard WWII FPS gamers out there like yourself...

Since CoD has never been about the characters, more about the wars, I think it was a brilliant move to go to Modern Warfare, I agree, WWII has a lot of games for it, though of course there are a few coming out that I'm looking forward to (Operation Overlord) and I am personally excited about CoD4, since I never played those games for realism. BiA however I do play for realism and realism, sadly has a much smaller fan base, though a much more loyal one. So yea, I doubt Activision was worried about BiA taking over.

QFE...that is so true....more people are interested into the "enemies pop outta no where games" and you can get shot 93848349349 times before you die. These games are made for the people who love just to run up and shoot. And it's true...im sure we all agree that we who post on here all think realism>shoot em up.

The trick to the two mile, is when the gun goes off, run really really fast for about 3000 meters or so, and then finish it off in a sprint, it works wonders!

well for me, it's always been a much more gratifying experience to be able to face a smart opponent who can take me down in one shot, and knows how to fight, forcing me to use my brain and skill to come out on top. I prefer this to say, what CoD has where I can get shot 200 times and I just run up and spam grenades and bullets while using my "1337 skillz". Still, as I've said before games like CoD are good too, though I think of them more as stress relief, cause sometimes when you've had a bad day, you just wanna blow **** up Razz

What level have you played on? Easy? Normal? I used to have the same views like yours until I changed to hard...

Who cares what war/genre as long as the game plays well. I like both WW2 and Modern war shooters as do a great many. Keep the games coming I say just make sure they improve with time and do not play with that stale feeling.

I agree with you I like both genres and always will just as long as they get better over time.

Personally,i really don't like CoD. i played big red one and thought it was a failer. One mission you were just some marine, the next u were drving a tank or plane. Also, you barley get to kno any of your squad mates like BIA. And when u go to battle, its like rush in and sum one randonly dies, and seconds later a replacements shows up who then dies. I have also played CoD 3. It was better, but still needed to do better on the squad mates.
