lt. Cole. killed by a sniper in best Wink

atleast that is what i want to see in the game. same with the story of Joe Mann. also killed in best.

quote:

Joe E. Mann
Private First Class Joe E. Mann landed on 17 September 1944 on the dropzone B between the Dutch villages Son and St. Oedenrode. He belonged to H-company of the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. H-company should capture the traffic bridge over the Wilhelmina Canal in the village Best. Although this bridge was not on the direct route to the North, general Maxwell D. Taylor considered it an important alternative for the bridge in Son.
During the fights for a German ammunition store on Monday 18 September Joe Mann was wounded twice.
On the 19th the fights were in the close vicinity of the bridge. Joe Mann, with both upper limbs being in arm slings, was sheltering in a trench together with six other wounded men, when a German hand grenade landed close to him. Being unable to use his arms because of the wound dressings, he shouted "Grenade", lay back to take the main force of the explosion with his body and a few moments later was dead. Although a few of his comrades received shrapnel wounds, he had saved their lives.

For this courageous deed, Joe Mann was posthumously awarded the highest American order, "The Congressional Medal of Honor".

[The monument in the Joe Mann Theatre]

In the Joe Mann Theatre a monument was unveiled by his parents on 17 September 1956. This open air theatre is situated opposite to the museum park.

[The memorial stone at the Boslaan Zuid, close to the bridge]

In the woods at the Boslaan Zuid, in the immediate vicinity of the bridge where his heroic act took place, a memorial stone was unveiled in 1984 by Joe's sister.

Also Lieutenant Colonel R.G. Cole of the 101st Airborne Division was awarded "The Congressional Medal of Honor".
On 11 June 1944, in France, Lt. Col. Cole led his battalion across heavy enemy fire. As a result of his heroic action a bridgehead on the river Douve could be established.
On 18 september 1944 he was killed during the fights for the bridge in Best.

I know Lt.Cole dies at some point in Market Garden, but as for the first to go? I reckon one of the new guys.

One thing I didn't like in the original is that everyone seemed to die, as opposed to just get wounded and sent home, or to the aid station for a few days.

Allen & Garnet RIP..... Sad Eyes

Also, another thing about the original is that you didn't know half the squad. I mean who the hell is Macreary? Hes not in the booklet, and you cant properly see the descriptions for Rivas (who you only see die) and Zanovich.

I sure hope corrion doesnt bite it...idk what it is...he's just calm, collected, and a very steady character...not to mention I'd love to play as him...he's very interesting and has peculiar moments such as when he does that strange meditation thing before one of your missions in RTH30...I think its the mission titled "Hill 30"....I might be wrong though....

You have a PS2 as well? I hated having the worse graphics compared to the other systems.
