One thing I want from the new game is more men. Not more men to command but more men in the back ground and cutseens. some times when i am on a mission i think it would make sense to have just you and your squad but some times i want to maybe have a company around the level all doing different things it realy bothered me in the first game in certain missions you did stuff with 5 dudes that really had like 50 to a hundred men like holding hill 30 and Coles charge. it tends to ruin the immersion when you fell like you and your squad are fighting the Germans in Normandy all by your self and mac stops by to check on you periodically i dont want the game to turn into call of duty i just wanna get the felling that im part of the 101st division not the 101st platoon so where its appropriate show other parts of the battle going on in the distance and mention other squads platoons and company's some times. with that said im fairly exited because from the looks of it with the better tech they are using now we are going to get just that the parts they have shown have all sorts of stuff going on in the back and fore ground theres parts where it looks as if Red and 2nd squad will be visibly helping in some areas and the move to make Baker on recon will make the idea of one squad against a company of Germans make more sense well thats just a few hopes and dreams i have for hells highway im curious on every ones thoughts.

Yeah thats annoyed me too. I remember one mission after Coles charge in particular. You are sent of to save a 'squad' pinned down behind enemy lines. You get there and it was just one guy holding back German 2 squads and a mortar crew. If his men had died, there wasn't even any bodies to show it.

I would also like other solders to have an affect. I remember on Purple Heart lane there is quite a few solders, but they all die.

In fact I can think of quite a few examples where a lot more men were needed, or at least needed to be mentioned. Baupte in Earned in blood was supposed to be a link up between the 82nd and the 101st. Instead you have 3 101st guys and a tank, and 2 82nd guys and a tank.

I had never really thought about it till now, but I do think more men are definetly needed.

Im glad it seems some one agrees with me on this i hope theres at least an instance in hells high way where you encounter at least a company of men. i can think of a mission happening where you are on a recon patrol like in the first game and you get pinned down by enemy fire in a house or barn and have to hold them off till a company comes to your rescue or some thing similar i think that would be a great way to keep it small with just a few guys for the majority of the level be still show you are involved in a huge operation with out ruining the tactical experience of being in control i can think of many other situations where you could mix the small scale skirmishes like were used to with larger scale battles through out the game for the most amount of realism.

i definately agree with what u said man. it always made me mad when 5 guys did the work of 15 or 20. even if u cant control them it would be nice to see more allies!

Having more men in the game is a very good idea! it gives you feeling that you are not allone out there doing all the difficault work.

Besides that if the people out here played EIb,you saw in the intro of the game when hartsock was intervieuwed by Colonel Marshall that you saw men walking arround and acctually doing stuff,and i know that you saw in HH people walking around also,but i'd like to see that when you're in a mission,one of the 9 releashed that they act like a normal soldier messing arround with his friends,and trying to forget the sittuation and be as normal as possible.

I also like to hear Gossips,sounds strange (i know) but from personel experiance myself,soldiers likes to mess around and gossip the whole march true.And what about songs they sang,The Majority of the community have seen Full mtal Jacket,so we could sing the Mickey Mouse song,because it was a song the was aired at the time,its just an idea?!

I completely agree. this is the kind of stuff I would want to see and what i meant when I posted. Great input. One of my fondest memory's
of rth30 was the Allen and Garnet superman Vs Batman discussion with legget. I also liked any time in earned in blood where baker talked. It really added depth to baker. I dint like the character as much when i played him in rth30 because you didn't really get to see him interact casually.

About Baker in rth30, yes your true, he was acting like a complete stranger to me in EIB, but you got to know him pretty good in the first game. GOD! i sure hope that he's still thinking deeply in the begining of the game HH,i know every line he thought about in RTH30 before a mission started.
If i'm correct i still have a notebook full with the deep thoughts that Baker told before a mission began.

Having a massive ammount of men in one single level is so cool,inmagine not that you are allone fighting against the Whole Dritte Reich (third Reich) but you are fithing with a whole batailion with you.Now that's what i wanna see in the game!

yea your right dude because when they attacked Carentan baker and a squad of 6 guys didnt take it themselves. Watch Band of Brothers and you will see that when they took Carentan there were guys everywhere. GOOD AND BAD GUYS WERE EVERYWHERE
