The fourth part of the series is obviously heading to the Ardennes because of Legget's comment at the end of BIA: HH. The story line should still stick with Baker. It is his squad and his story line. To follow someone who the player hasn't followed with the exception of personality is absurd. To all of those that complain that fighting in the ardennes will be boring, read up on the battle of the bulge or even watch Band of Brothers Bastone and Breaking Point episodes. The 101's involvement in the Battle of the Bulge wasn't just sitting in foxholes waiting for attacks. Baker's Squad is recon. Thats means they would have to go out on patrols, which may turn into big firefights. The attacks on the 101s defenses were intense and alot of fighting. And after the siege on Bastogne the 101 assisted with counter-attacks and the push towards the German border through towns and other obstacles. With the ending of HH, there will be alot of drama in the next one. Corrion doesn't want to fight for baker anymore, maybe he applies for a transfer but their paths meet again. Red, bakers closest friend in the unit is gone. And Baker stood up to his fears at the end of HH, doesn't mean Legget still won't be in his head and along with other ordeals. I agree that Baker should only carry one weapon and bazooka teams should have limited ammo. The idea to call in mortar and airstrikes (when the weather clears) would be a nice touch too.

I think that having a mortar team would be a good idea, but what would be cool is that you could create yourself as a character by choosing your looks and weapons. So you could be a fresh replacements put into one of baker's squad. Maybe the idea of being able to dig your own foxholes could be interesting. Alos, Baker shouldn't carry 3 weapons, he should carry only one, his main gun since he discarded his pistol. Also, since the fact that many soldiers were short on ammo could be a factor in this game meaning you don't restart with a full pack of ammo, but you continue with what you have and have to pick up ammo from random dead soldiers. I would also find it fun if the germans could retreat and we'd have to fight em later on meaning if you fight a squad of germans, one could run away (on occasion) and join up another squad a few yards away. For people that think that fighting would be boring, maybe you might have to defend yourself from attack while you're in your foxhole and you might have to do recon and combat patrols. But I would love it if Baker rejoins his 502nd PIR Dog Company, because i thought that it was much less fun playing as recon than being in a company. And finally just to spice things up, the next one might still be in holland but on the Island where you play as Paddock. I hope the producers read this, because it might help out the game a bit.

quote: Hey jackass, i've got a history minor here. first of all, there was only bad weather for the first 8 days of the battle, and the battle continued onto January 25th. on the 23rd of December, the battle started to go sour for the Germans due to AIR ATTACKS on their position. in reality, how many soldiers carried two assault weapons? soldiers made up for carrying one weapon by carrying more banodliers and stuffing them with clips. there was no thompson company, there were three companies that made them but they were mostly made the former Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company which is now Colt's Manufacturing Company. and yes, you did recive the gun from a british tank commander but the gun with the drum was used almost entirely by the British and east allies. this page is for reccomendations for the next game not to diss random people who you dont even know, so suckit!
hey man, there was in fact a thomson compony (2 in fact not 3)that did originate from colt manufacturing there was bad weather more than 8 days and ammo unfortunately was low for the soldiers. it says in band of brothers the book that the entire 101st had a horrible lack of ammo. so they cant stuff bandoliers with it bcuz they had none! and watch your language. "were any of us w-- worth it?" Red

i kindof think that the only two weapons should be a primary rifle and a pistol. two rifles is kindof crazy and not sure that would happen. unless the soldier was arnold swartzneger.

I think it would be awesome to have the next game set in the Battle of the Bulge or the Ardennes or the siege of Bastogne. And for the Death Pistol to reappear somehow. I love Brothers in Arms RTH30,EIB,and HH. However I only have RTH30. But it would be cool to have mortar team commanded by Jasper as he is the special team leader. Depending on the situation, he could carry the bazooka, 30 cal. MG,or the mortar. And yes I think Baker should only carry two weapons, he rifle or SMG, and a new issued colt. 45 as he threw away his cursed pistol. The player should still be able to command his squad like in Hell's Highway, vault over cover, and there should still be destructable enviorments and stone walls destructable only to tanks or 88s or artillery. The storyline could be more funny AND dramatic. Corrion should transfer to another unit but go back to Baker when Baker somehow saves Corrion's life when their paths cross again. He should come back unexpectedly however, such as Baker waiting outside his tent waiting for a truck to go by and then there's Corrion with his duffel bag and everything coming back across the road. The Death Pistol should reappear when Dawson takes it being a big believer of faith and such or someone else takes it. Maybe an important German officer can take it after finding it and kills a squad member with it (not Corrion, Dawson, Jasper, or Paddock) while an eraged Baker sees the pistol with the engraving on it in the German's hand. Then after a wild goose chase Baker and the squad finally wound the officer and Baker picks up the pistol and kills the wounded officer with it. Then getting rid of the pistol again. I prefer another squad member take it instead. Keep the gore system and everthing else and blood stains in the snow, footprints and characters tripping and falling while others come to help them. Keep the "If you can't find a way, make a way." idea in the game. Keep the civilians in the game. These are just my ideas, there are probably better ones than this. Who knows what'll happen in the next game?
