please help me! I start New Campain but I can't finish my first patrol - WHY! I sink 14 warships and 10 merchants ships all ships I kill in ports. I have very nice result 325144 tons but when I come to my home base and start to dock in - my game stop working. I don't know what to do also when I load the game is this same problem. Maybe I'm too good and my result of kiled ships is too High? Please help me I Wana play more and sink more ships!

Could you tell me a bit more about the game you are playing.
Are you playing SH4 version 1.4 or are you playing SH4 U-Boat Mission 1.5
If you are playing the standard SH4 are you patched to the newest update - 1.4

this game is standard version 1.4 and I patched the newest update

When you get close to your Home Port does a screen come up asking you if you want to - Refit or End Patrol or Postpone?

yes exactly! when I press option: end patrol my game not responding and I must close the program! Why?

Are the "End Patrol" letters bright or are the letters sort of gray?
What happens when you press - "Refit" ?
Are the letters brighter on the "Refit" and "Postpone" then they are on the "End Patrol" ?
I think your home port may have moved. Look on your map and see if the anchor icon where you are now is an anchor that is straight up and down or is it tilted to the left.
Your home port has an anchor icon that is tilted to the left.

when I press refit or postpone then I return to game so is no problem but only when I press End patrol my game not responding. I start mision in Pearl Harbor and this was a base when I should finish this mision! I start again this mision but My result of destroing ships was less than 300000 tons and I normal finish the patrol in Pearl Harbor! I start second patrol and ofcorse I destroy 14 warships and 12 merchants (more than 345 000 tons!)and was this same problem please help

It sounds to me like your home port has been moved to another harbor. Look on your map for a titled anchor like the one pictured below. That is where your new home port is.



Perhaps someone else could help Miharu out. When I play I don't start my career in Pearl Harbor. Where is the next port Miharu would be sent to?

I have this trouble to, on two seperate careers
but I have noticed a few simularities, and Im curious of you have either of these same issues with the mission.

Ill break them down in detail but the summary is

Both Careers where Ending the patrol causes the game to crash my Sub was sunk and I loaded from the previous save.

Both careers I was on my 4th Patrol.
Both Patrols I had over 40,000 tons.
Ending the patrol doesnt accually cause the crash,only after clicking next on the summary window does the game CTD

For reference Im useing the "out of the box" unpatched SH4.

First Career, 4th Patrol:
Home Port: Pearl Harbor, Started there December 7th
Sunk 1 carrier and 15 Merchants, total tonnage around 50,000

Sub sunk on return to port by Aircraft, reloaded from saved game that was 10 minutes old.
Reached pearl safely this time, ended patrol, checked the patrol summary (gloated on my massive tonnage) clicked next, but instead of going to my officer I got a lovely view of my desktop wallpaper.

Second career, 4th patrol:
Home port: Manilla,moved to Java, current home port (confirmed) Fremantle.

Sunk 1 gun boat, and 16 merchants, 39,000 tons worth

Was sunk by shore battery at Java...appears The Japs bought the realistate while I was getting my next mission orders.

Reloaded 4 times from the save on leaveing base auto save before the brilliant idea of diveing from my dock to Periscope depth and sneaking out was the way to go, patrol proceded smoothly from there until I reached fremantle, again clicked end patrol and went to the summary screen, clicked next and BOOM CTD many curse words followed.

Thats all the info I have on my problem like what Miharu is haveing.

Would be interesting to see if this still happens to you after you patched to 1.4.

Just patched to 1.4 YB and restarted my Career will let you know if it does crop up again.

Must say I had strong reservations on patching, but its done wonders, and its nice to accually have an American Sub with a depth meter in feet

Was worried about the Smarter escorts mainly, but after Sinking a Fuso BB in the east China Sea right under the nose's of 5 DD's and finding out penetration tactics I had been useing still work, I have to say Thanks for the little push to patch
