Well, this is certainly a welcome surprise. I had expected this game to die completely as far as US and abroad releases, but I'm glad to see I was mistaken. Honestly I don't know why you ladies and gentlemen over at Ubisoft decided to pick it up, as there are many reasons why you could have and probably should have left it alone, but with the effort you put into your trailer alone, I have to say your doing a damn fine job in pushing this.
I don't know what Ubisoft is expecting from this game, honestly, but I will say that the US Armored Core community is arguably small in comparison to other game communities. That said, most of us are fairly biased, hotheaded, and generally seem to think than we're a lot bigger than we are. I am, of course, speaking in general. A good number of AC players are actually quite personable and intelligent, but the vast majority are pretty ignorant and will try to pin the blame for anything and everything on the team bringing the game over. Sega's failure to bring regulations over in a timely manner for the PS3 (US PS3 is on 1.4, while all 360 consoles and JP PS3 are on 1.6) left a horrible impression on most of the community, as the regulation difference led to increased lag, unbalanced gameplay, and a small horde of angry teens and young adults. A good number of those people are probably not coming back, or are going to be very hesitant to buy the game for fear of wasting their time with another 'broken' game. Ubisoft, you have a quite a fight on your hands, and I wish you luck. I'll be cheering for you guys. As a long time fan of the series, I'll be honest and say that I've already imported a copy of ACfA from Japan, and I loved it. Of course, I couldn't understand the story at all, so I'm looking forward to purchasing a copy of ACfA once it hits the states as well. As unbalanced as the game is for the moment (Regulation 1.2 fixed a lot while breaking a lot, which is more the Japanese gaming community's fault than FROM SOFTWARE's) it's still a great game for both singleplayer mode and messing around in multiplayer. Serious competition for the moment is futile, but with more regulation updates the game should do just fine. Looking forward to how you guys at Ubisoft handle this. Oh yes, and...
If you don't have anything meaningful to say, why even bother speaking? Hate will get you nowhere. |

Hmm... Ubisoft publishes Armored Core... skeptical.
Don't worry, they'll probably decide to make a major gameplay change in order to appeal to a larger demographic, all the while ditching your small demographic. Kinda like they did with ConViction. Eh, I'm a fan of mecha concepts, but I wonder if Ubi will make this game good. That's why they're making you the star character. Because you suck too. |

Ubisoft is publishing the game, not developing it, so why would we change anything? Who needs to chance big stomping robots with missiles, guns and jetpacks?
FROM SOFTWARE know how to make mech games that appeal to all kinds of people, from the die-hard anime mech fans, down to the tactical in-depth shooter fans. I am a huge Armored Core fan, so this is a great announcement for me personally. |

My god, Ubi$oft got hold of this franchise too? They'll f*** it up for sure.

You may want to look up the difference between game Publisher and game Developer before you pronounce doom on the Armored Core world. |

Wow I now have mixed feelings about Ubisoft. I had a love/hate thing going for them after the last few Tom Clancy games but this is kinda changing my mind.
I have and will always be a diehard AC fan. I was really saddened to think that For Answer would never come to america so this is fantastic news for me. Epic giant robot battles for the win. |

Redstorm was the original developer of Rainbow Six and when Ubi$oft started publishing them is when it started to suck. |

thank you ubisoft for picking up ACFA

I'm curious as to why Ubi took so long to work out a deal to publish this series when they already have a decent history of publishing games from From Software?
Also why didn't Ubi pick up publishing rights for Metal Wolf Chaos? "Where ignorance is bliss 'tis folly to be wise"-Tomas Grey Sig by Phin |
