Chrome Hounds was an incredible game. It got a little rediculous later on as playes started building hounds that basically exploited the game. It was a game with alot of potentiol. There are many things that Ubi could do to make this game incredible. One, major graphics improvements. Two, makeing the commander more like a commander. Basically taking what they did with Endwar and adapting it to chromehounds. Easy voice command system that allows commanders not only to issue orders to human payers but also to AI players that should be selectable and placeable at the begining of each mission. Three, more nations to choose from, atleast five, an asian race maybe? Also the choice to not have to be a mercenary. The ability to actually join a nation would be real nice. Four, more parts. Each nation has there own parts. It should be really challenging to get parts from another country and you should also have to modify them once acquired to make them even work. Making them different and unique afterwards. I could go on forever, but I wont. I feel that Ubisoft has the best guys employed to make this game a huge hit.

Question:
Should Ubisoft buy the rights to Chrome Hounds and make Chrome Hounds 2?

Choices:
Absolutly! I'd buy it!
I'd try it out.
Never heard of Chrome Hounds.
I think there are better companies out there to make the sequal.
Chrome Hounds sucks! A sequal would be a bad idea.

We should talk about game ideas. That would be fun. What would everyone like to see in a sequal? Definately needs support elements. A commander should be able to call in an airstrike or a satellite attack or something. How awesome would it be to be able to take to the air also? The ability to go ground or air? That would be bad ***. Plus hounds would have to be completly redisigned to be capable of fighting off aircraft.

Multi Platform would be kick ***. Allowing PC people to do battle with 360 people would be a really nice perk. It seems there are so many possibilities with this game. The original was pretty basic and straight forward. There is way to much room for adding extra coolness Cool to a sequal.

Sorry guys but if they make it a PC game it will turn to cack just think of all those modders out there who will ruin it to bits. It's what they did with a ehole host of decent games.

I dunno about that. Chromehounds made itself seperate from armored core because it didnt have that sense of transforming into a jet, and i loved it for that. It gave it a realistic feel and made you believe in the chromehound universe as you could fathom the idea of future mechanics and developers producing something that runs much like a car. That, for me is what worked and went hand in hand with the great graphics that let you see the cogs an bolts turn and you felt like a mechanic yourself researching blueprints and testing ideas to make your 'baby' run that little bit better.

One thing i think they really should include in the second one is a more interactive website. Maybe software that lets you upload your hound's specs to the site and allow others you with to give it to, to download the blueprints.

This could be made to give to specific players, like squad members or friends. If it was made into a readily available software, i think it would let the chromehounds community flourish tenfold. Most players already offer advice after a battle to help you optimise you hounds. For sites that are focused on showing all the available designs, i think this could work well.

Apart from better network connection and the possible software i mentioned. I dont think Chromehounds need much more changing..Though the talk about the commander being given features like in endwar 'could' be really cool.

Im sure if Ubisoft did take this onboard, they would add their own flare to it, though i would want them to be careful not to knock over what made chromehounds great..REALISM. I dont want turbo boost and jet packs. It's near future tech not 3000 yrs ahead.

What do you guys think?

Aircraft, satellites and other aerial vehicles were made inoperable by the sunspots that caused the Neroimus war. It's in the history section of the game when you play online. So, sorry, no aircraft or aerial hounds, and especially no satellites. Though a new game brings new times, and who knows, the Sunspots could've died down by now.

Some things I'd like to see though are heavy weapons like Railguns, Gatling Guns, Vertical Missile Launchers. New Leg models, with some new types thrown in, like a Bipedal leg with wheels in the feet, maybe the ability to jump. and also a story mode that isnt not training you for online play. Also, a Multiplayer campaign, complete with one of the Unidentified weapons as a final boss. More races, like Japan, that has super sleek, high performance machines and parts but are very expensive and don't reward much.

I really enjoyed the game overall.

I agree that there should not be any aircraft hounds or jetpacks [There is a wind turbine that allowed you to hover]. I also don't think there should be any of the satellite crap cause then people will just find some way to spam it. We want a game where people are required to have SKILL, not just strategy.

I do think the commander's bit should be redone a little bit and voice command could be really cool also. But I still think it should be centered on the squad, and not just noobs directing hoards of AI after there enemies. Graphics could definitely be improved and story DEFINITELY needs some improvement. I would like to see more of the few special events type things, like the Superweapons [I wish to fight one of those so badly].

The three nations to me worked out fine. Though, I would not mind if there was a more continental aspect to it, such as Europe, which I think is very ideal. Though if it became worldwide, I think it would become too big. The best thing about Chromehounds was FUTURISTIC REALISM. But the map play was just fine, both in battle and strategic map. But it would be nice to see someplace other than the Black Sea and I wish they would add another city [fighting in Tarakia's Capital was AWESOME] to each nation.

But I think Ubisoft would be a prime candidate to buy Chromehounds and it should be something worth getting. endwar reminded me a lot of what I loved about Chromehounds and I would love to see it happen more than an Endwar 2.

Chromehounds was already made but they made so many losses with the first one nobody would publish the second =/ but if chromehounds 2 actually did become a reality..oh my gosh that would be my most anticipated game next to avp 3. it would also be hard for chromehounds to surpass the new mechwarrior that was announced as chromehounds is really the underdog of the 2. But i know plenty of people that would LOVE to see this game again especially since they are shutting down the servers next year for the first one..

I don't remember the sunspot thing. I never wanted hounds that could fly. I did too really enjoy the realism of the game. I just thought the ability to unleash some kind of aerial attack as a commander would be great. An attack that you actually have a chance to defend against. Maybe even being able to command infantry to launch mortars. I also thought it would be great as the commander to be able to move tanks and other not really threatening AI around. It would just feel more like a real battle. An Asian race is much needed. Not having to be a Mercenary, also needed. There should be perks and disadvantages to belonging to a country. As well as perks and disadvantages of being a merc. Maybe a little more importance to the voting for a leader thing. A story mode that isn't just training you for online play is also much needed like Leonhard said. Co-Op campaign would be a nice touch.
