Okay, I'm not a historical expert. But I'm surprised not to see a post regarding the MG42's rate of fire in BIA. It's way too slow. I can't comment on specifics, but Call of Duty did a much better job at the MG42. BIA is way off. Nice graphics and sound, but much less accurate in my opinion. Is there a "mod" out there for an MG42 upgrade? If not there should be.

I hear ya..ROF was around 1200rpm. It should sound alot buzzier...but I sure wouldn't want that ROF in BIA.
A sound file change would be nice... |

I know BIA is tough. I like it that way. I've always played games like these on difficult settings right out of the box. I've never used the suppression indicators or the crosshair options in BIA. I would welcome the challenge. They could give it the wicked fire rate, but maybe give the gunner less accuracy and/or slow reaction time. Just enough to give you, in most cases, just enough time to sprint accross a street. Maybe add it as a "option" in the game. I honestly thought upon reaching the "authentic" mode, that would've been one of the changes. Not that I know, but it adds so much to the realism factor just hearing that MG42 "ripping canvas" sound from a distance. Upon reaching the area, then finding a way to flank the gunner and surprise him. It would add to the strategy and authenticity to the game. Anyway, not a complaint just my opinion.
