while playing the level, Bloody Gulch, I noticed that the 17th SS panzer division had panzer 4 long-barrelled 75mm tanks. I later went to check to see if they were actually in it, but found no proof they were in the division at all. what I want to know is if the panzer 4 was in normandy?

Ok, here we go.

Don't know which exactly Panzerkampfwagen you are asking about, but here is some info that may help:

"(...)On 6 June 1944, most of the 748 Pz Kpfw IV with the nine Panzer divisions in France were Ausf H."
[quote from Encyclopedia of German tanks of WWII]

ps. Panzer IV Ausf H had a long barrell, so is F2 and G - but the book doesnt clearly say that F2 and G were in Normandy. Its only tell us that "(...) the majority went to front-line units to replace losses. Pz Kpfw IV Ausf F2 was superior to the Russian, British and American armour used at the fronts in the summer of 1942". - but thats the other story :P

Hope that helps
