I think the ones SPR are a little big too(and MoH). The ones on Omaha where machine gun bunkers set on the bluffs off the beach, each had a demanding field of fire

Now the Gun bunker you see in SPR where Miller gets Upham is also to close to the beach to have that kinda gun. There are 4 of them off a Brit beach, which are rather famous and the name slips me, here is a pic
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v47/Pvt.Noble/Normandy/100_6204.jpg . The only "SPR"/"MoH" style I saw in Normandy was called Le Grand Bunker, and it...was...HUGE!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v47/Pvt.Noble/Normandy/grandbunker.jpg really tall, really wide, has a couple of tank turrets retro fitted to the side (cant see in the pics) and firing ports all about. Goes a couple storys deep also. Very big, but it overlooks sword beach, so it wouldnt have been in the local of where the US rangers landed or anything. the bluffs off omaha are very far back, 200-300 yards to the base of the bluffs, and the bunkers are situate about halfway up, and spread all the way down, deadly crossfire. When I went it was almost scary looking at them. The seawall is only abot 5 feet tall at the highest places, while in WWII it was about 10-11 feet tall (thanks to them, it keeps the land from eroding into the sea, a german erosion barrier!)
