It isn't Easy Company, they have the wrong symbol on their helmets: Easy had the spade symbol.

Easy company isn't JUST the 506th PIR. Easy co. was in every unit. this story was the troops of the 502nd PIR. This squad specifically was turned over into a recon unit.

Well it's not JUST based on fox company, 502 PIR. Baker and Red are part of a different Company altogether. They are a recon unit branched from the 502 PIR.

The Recon section is not really under the 502nd but most probably the HHC/101st.... I think the Division G2(intelligence) commands them.....I think that guy was Capt. Wilder as mentioned in the chapter "The Right Man"
