Hm, I can't say for sure what the most effective anti-personnel device is from that list. I suppose it depends on the situation. I know the pineapples have pretty much always been used, so I would assume those are probably the most effective.

Yes it does depend greatly on the situation. The Mills bomb, and APM are defenceive models, with high levels of explosives or fragmentation, these cannot be thrown very far,or in the case of the mine, nowhere at all.
Whereas the other choises are offensive and can be thrown a long distance but with not much fragmentation or explosive(appart from the steilhandgranate which contains alot of explosive but needed a stick to compensate for the weight and keep the throwing range offensive)But even the steilhandgranate was supplied with a metel cover to tern it into a defensive grenade. So if you find yourself in a defensive fight it would be best to have the Mills Bomb,steilhandgranate/with metal defensive cover,or the AP mine to block the enemy's path. Wheras if in an offensive fight it is best to have the Pineapple,Steilhandgranate/without cover or the RG -32. Which is where it comes back to opinion again. Many often do not realize this, but RPG is rather effective.

The one so popular with modern terrorist groups and militias, the RPG-7, may be post war, but think about it, what were Bazooka's, Panzerfausts and Panzershrecks?, in fact the Soviet RPG-2 was based on the Panzerfaust and later developed into the RPG-7 we see so often on the news today. Yes but they differ that an RPG just uses the rocket to fire it whereas the Bazooka and other weapons of the same type, use an enitial explosion to fire it,then the rocket for added distence.
Also in the latter parts of the war you wouldnt fire off a panzerfaust just to kill a few guys. You would wait for a tank. Still i will add it in just to see what the reaction is. You will have to vote again though, because it resets the votes. Sorry to say this hanomag but you forget one inportant device,The brittish should know better than they realy want too.
Its called a BOUNCING BETTYits a german anti personnel anti tank mine and it works like this. one soldier walk over the mine then it jump upwards to the body its will go of at chest hight taking legs and arms pretty easy the mine that went of triggerd another set of mines somtimes up to 50 mines layed in an half a mile, and tose will go off too, So my opinion thats the best anti personel anti tank device of the world ------------------------------ During the Second World War, the Germans took four years to build the Atlantic Wall. On four beaches it held up the Allies for about an hour; at Omaha it held up the U.S. for less than one day. The Atlantic Wall must therefore be regarded as one of the greatest blunders in military history. Stephen Ambrose, D-Day, page 577. ''Loyalty is my honor''. Franz johan Demmer. berlin may 8 1945. I didnt forget it.I just didnt put it in because they were a pretty poor device. If the first soldier in a column set one off it would take him out and a few others around him,but it would set all the rest of the BB off in a line in front of him, without hitting anyone else. Why waste 50 Bouncing Bettys to only hit a few people. When you could lace the groung with a mix of Teller mine 43's and then some anti personnel mines which might only take the first man/tank out but could delay an advance for weeks as you clean the mine field out, which incidently could take out more engineers as they prod around looking for mines to clear.

There used to be avatar and sig instructions in the Sig Test forum at the top of the main forums page, but now all it has are the size rules, so just use this link to add them, it covers what you need to know. I've thought of a new one,Tree Bursts.
I would like to know what anyone else thinks about them,or any other devices you could think of. This message has been edited. I guess tree bursts weren't very good agains't tanks but could take out infantry, and light skinned vehicles or open topped half-tracks.
