Hey Dave...and all. I went to a MG shoot today in northeast VT with the wife. Brought my K98 and my friends M1 Garand plus my HK USP 40 compact.

I once again got to shoot a MP-40 ( have video) and a Browning 30 cal MG on a stand (have video)

I will post pics after I get done watching "The Alamo" with wifey. The videos I have to post on a buddies site cause I have only photobucket (size limited).

What fun.....!!!

Nice pics! I'd love to see what a Browning .50 cal would do to a pumpkin, lol.
I've got videos, too, of my dad and I shooting out M1s at the range. I only have phtobucket too... Do they allow video posts if it'll fit?

They resize all pics to 250K supposedly. The videos are much bigger.

Those are cool vids WE_STAND_AlONE, but cant you make longer vids showing us the features of the WW2 weapons you have and a camera angle looking through the sights + see you shot targets down range? If I had access to WW2 weapons I would love to make vids like that that lasted longer than a few seconds. I know you probably put alot of time and effort getting the vids on the web and I thankyou for it & all I am doing is making a suggestion.

omg...wow, those sound NOTHING like how it sounded in cod. I mean it had no resemblance at ALL. It sounded like a paintball gun, i mean was it firing real live ammunition?

That sound isn't close to the same because its not right up to the gun. Also a video camra mic is not going to pick up the right sound a human would hear for explosions.

But awesome videos man. I would love to see an m1 garand firing

What do you want? a National Geographic documentary?...lol

1)weapons were not mine

2)limited amount of time to shoot that day

3)MOST IMPORTANT: Wife holding camera freezing her *** off!

4)wife hungry

5)Whatever she wants to do is fine after a few vids....cause she JOINED me.

6) MP40 DOES sound pretty much what you hear..yes..real 9mm ammo

7) 30cal did get muffled a little...was much more impressive sounding..especially standing right behind it with a breathful of mg gas.

unless you can provide proof by owning/shooting one of these guns.....don't bother argueing about the sound.... Wink

I've got movies (.mov) of my dad and I shooting our Garands (with sound) but they are 55 and 66MB... I went through an entire clip of ammo. Wish I had my own web page that I could host them on... I think the sound came out pretty good, too.

Digicams really eat up memory when shooting video...plus mine can only shoot 320x480 (i guess) @ 30fps...(really makes aircraft props look slow). My empty XD card will take a 6+ minute video but the time of the mag of 9mm for mp40 and the time of box of 30cal for the browning was real...not much more to show.

I would have loved to have wife stand and shoot video just over my shoulder but shes a bit uneasy with the MG's shooting..

DaveTiny, could I use your clips for a soundmod? I'm really curious about the sounds of your m1, and could perhaps use it for my soundmod...

do you have msn? or can i email you?

(you know you could also split your clips in different parts with windows movie maker).

cu

oh and by the way capt.Stukan, if you turn the volume of WE_STAND_ALONE's clips up in windows movie maker, you can really here more than *pop pop*.. or it's just me 8-|
